  • Where are you on the political compass? Take the test

I will reveal my scores once a few of you have done the test.

According to the polls only 1.6 % of Americans are athiests. So what gives you the right to call the other 80% morons?'

Some of the questions are flawed...

People are ultimately divided more by class than by nationality.

Does this question mean what do I assume divides people, or what do I think should divide people? I think, realistically, nationality probably divides people more, but if I selected "Agree" then will the test interpret my answer as saying that I think nationality should divide people? Because I don't think it should, I just think in society it probably does.

A significant advantage of a one-party state is that it avoids all the arguments that delay progress in a democratic political system.

The thing is, realistically, yes, a one-party state would avoid all the argument delayed in a democratic system, but then if I voted "Agree", would the test read this as support of a one-party state? Because I wouldn't support a one-party state.

Anyway, done this test a lot, and it varies, but I generally have never left the green bottom-left area.

I did this very quickly, but here's my preliminary result:

    Economic Left/Right: -8.38
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -8.97

Sometimes it can be tough being a little red dot placed so close to the bottom-left hand corner of a dynamically generated PNG image. It feels like I'm teetering on the edge of a libertarian-leftist abyss that could swallow me at any moment, probably resulting in an unhandled PHP exception. Still, you should pity my arch enemy 'old red dot' who lives on the other side of our little 2.72KB world. Poor deluded bastard.

Quite a few loaded questions in there that rely too much on the standard (and simplistic) left-right divisions.

This was interesting. Considering that i am considered rightist in Sweden, it tells a bit about what the Swedish political landscape is like.

Not sure I agree with it, I expected a bit more right and less liberal. Interesting though, thanks.

I think they play 30 secs of a Choudray interview to set  it to Characterless Level 0 . Anything below or above  that point is assumed to be a degree of thought  activity.

Iraqi Athiest. Sorry didnt see that a similar post on this had already been done. My bad. But what do you expect from a wooly minded libertarian Smiley
