    WOW! how convenient! The underlined is very 'profound'! BTW if you want to know what real patriarchy[in its extreme form] looks like, you have a choice of destinations like Afghanistan or Iran for example.

    I think this is a little outdated. Women have managed to do just about all jobs through two World Wars and for thousand of years previously, so any argument about them being "able to work" is rather bizarre. What does make sense is that jobs that are female-dominated are undervalued. I would never advise any girl to go into any trade or profession where women outnumbered men. The solution is to control the training of men and women so that the numbers of each can be evened out in all jobs at all levels. The sex of a worker is usually irrelevant. You go to work and you sell your labour then you go home. If employers were forced to treat men and women alike then we might see some positive changes in society as a whole.
