I just converted like 2 days ago, and I'm very happy to announce it. I came across this website and i really enjoy it.

Thanks all of you for the great posts and the videos

and special thanks to ExMuslimUK. the video serious is great and it is really helpful.

Yes by that i mean left islam, Was born In Egypt and I moved the USA couple of years ago. Never though that atheism existed when I was younger because the only choices were either Christian or Muslim. A lot of things didn't make sense to me and i started researching for a couple of months, and all my predictions were correct and, I guess i converted

many reasons

plagiarizing scientific miracles and claming to be the one who discovered them
sexism
racism
slavery
weird stories
and the list goes on
one of the major things is , i found that islam counts on having people scared which is how people in the religion are still sticking around.

like when quran describes hell i see people crying which is how they fear the religion and leaving it

You should use the term apostate, not convert.

You will pick many new terms regarding religion that you would have never come across somewhere else. I learned many terms here. So there you go, when one leaves a religion he/she apostates; and if they adopt a new religion they convert. And since Athiesm is not a religion (it's the lack of) so you can not convert to it.
