I agree Iblis. The father will not feel ashamed, because he will feel he is defending Islamic culture from losing ground; and the Muslim community will be too ashamed of criticising him too vocally -- a bit like with Islamic jihad/terrorism.

This was very very distressing, the unfortunate thing being that Asqa is just one of many victims of this disgusting tribal mentality practice. Heshu Yones, Banaz Mahmod, Noor Almaleki....the list continues.... It was awful to hear the voice of Sarah Said as she made that 911 call as she lay dying. It must have been similar to the case of Tina Isa. Because her home had been bugged by the FBI as her father was a suspected terrorist, the jury actually heard her cries of terror as her mother held her down whilst her father stabbed her repeatedly, hearing the mother tell her to 'shut up' as she asked why they were doing this to her (she had a job and was dating a black man). I can't imagine how harrowing it must have been to hear that tape in court. Although they both got death sentences, the father died in prison (diabetes related) and the mother's sentence got changed to life in jail. Sometimes I wish there was a hell just so people like that could burn in it.
