    Moderate in leisure is only possible for things are halal.

    Music is not halal, unless it's nasheed or something like that. And even that will be forbidden according to some.

    Look I' not making the rules, music is haram. Take it up with God and His Prophet.

    Jesus, it's like your saying I didn't want to listen to music when I was a muslim or something Grin

    so what was the mahr like. I'm looking to go on some mutah tour of the middle east and iran. I'm easy man I don't need those weekend ones. Just 10 or 20 minutes tops with each wife.

    people exaggerate about the Mut'ah... my understand is, while it's allowed in Shia Islam, very few families ever accept marrying off their daughters in Mut'ah.

    Yeah my dad thinks its "Islamic prostitution" and when I tell him the Sistani allows it he just changes the conversation.  Roll Eyes

    I personally think it would be great if Mut'ah was practiced widely and freely in Muslim societies. It can be a substitute for dating. The only difference is that the guy can't disown the child in the case of pregnancy. Honestly, I don't see what's wrong with it? I mean I would like Iraq or Egypt to become as sexually liberal and free as France but that's not gonna happen. So allowing/encouraging would be a good start.

    If money is exchanged it is Islamic prostitution. Of course, I don't really have a problem with prostitution so long as a pimp or someone like that isn't exploiting the situation.

    Historically it's been about money. But recently I have heard many stories about Shiite families in Iraq who are becoming more OK with the idea of Mut'a for their widowed or divorced daughter. In most of the cases no money is involved (except for a symbolic obligatory dowry of say 25 cents). I think this would be a step in the right direction.
    Remember the man is obligated to take responsibility for any children even if he married the woman for 1 hour.

    Aside from the NOI guys there are also the 5%ers (like busta rhymes)...those guys are even worst really. They are more or less a black version of those churh of aryan nation types.

    No, i think that the 5%ers are better than the others, they don't claim that the qu'ran is the absolute truth but that truth is in every culture, and they also approve other races than black, also they don't believe in the afterlife, so they are kinda like atheists.

    Farrakhan is a charismatic guy. He also undoubtedly was part of the plot to murder Malcolm, so I don't see how so many prominent Black males who honor the memory of Malcolm X get bamboozled by this motherfucker. I guess charisma goes a long way.

    Alright, I admit this..I haven't done enough research into the issue of music in islam to get a concrete, firm conclusion.
