I have just watched "A response to Geert Wilders Fitna (from the Council of Ex-Muslims)" on Youtube. I found myself increasingly disturbed by the arrogance shown by the CEMB members. Maryam Namazie questioned ex-muslim men ( many of whom in their responses reminded me of arrogant Mullahs} and women about the film. There seemed to be an unquestioning belief that wanting to curtail immigration (especially muslim immigration) was 'right wing'. Well let me tell you now most Europeans are very worried about the huge number of uneducated, often illiterate tribal muslims coming into Europe and the problems they bring with them, and can do without being bracketed by people, many of whom are just experiencing freedom and democracy for the first time. One mullah, sorry, one CEMB man said that the 'agenda' of the CETB was to worry about the destructive influence of Islam in Islamic countries, not European ones. How very noble that is of him towards those countries which have given refuge to many of its members. One of the questions asked was 'Should the film be banned?'. I couldn’t believe my ears, as if we don't have enough calls for banning of free speech by Islamists to be getting on with . I couldn't help feeling that the sheer arrogant 'we are right and know everything and we are all left wingers' attitude is a throw back to Islamic certainty and indoctrination. 'You can take the person out of Islam but you can't always take Islam out of the person.' I have been a strong supporter of CEMB up until now, but I find myself wavering at the moment.
Here's what I think of you and your post:

So because some ex-Muslims criticize the right-wing Muslim/immigrant-bashers like Geert Wilders that means they're crypto-Muslims or "cultural" Muslims. Yeah, that's the first time anyone's ever heard that bullshit argument here before.

And who was asking the question? Maryam Namazie who has been very consistent in her defense of free speech as she was later in the video. And what was the answer to the question? A definitive "NO". Obviously the question was asked because she knew or suspected his answer and wanted him to explain his and CEMB's position against banning the film. Are you fuckin brain-damaged or something? How the fuck did you manage to so completely miss the point of that Q&A-- which was to support free speech? Did you huff a lot of gasoline when you were a kid? Did you huff some before making that post?
