     Old geezer When I was your age, my head was shaved, my jeans tucked into my combat boots (apparently the US Army lets you keep them even if they kick you out  grin12), T-shirt with the sleeves ripped off, drunkenly walking through the worst streets I could find with a 6 inch blade in my back pocket, looking for a fight.

    You never seen Romper Stomper? Made Russell Crowe a star.

    That's a fake-ass house band led by the director's friend mimicking WN Oi punk. Most of the songs they did sucked, but that one was pretty good and the best known from the film (the scene where it's playing is pretty badass too)-- it's been covered by non-WN streetpunk bands too.

    Eh, something like that. When I was younger, in elementary and middle school, I never backed down from a fight, but I didn't go seeking them either. When I got into high school I started to become a thrill junkie and from 16/17 to my mid 20s, I'd actively go looking for trouble. When I didn't find any, I'd stick a gun to my head and cock the hammer, resting my finger on the trigger, knowing just a slip could send my brains splattering all over the floor.

    Then I grew the fuck up. Well, not completely, but enough to where I don't do shit like that anymore.

    The kind of people who took over Williamsburg, Brooklyn a few years back and Northern Liberties here in Philly. Skinny middle-class kids who are into indie rock and appropriate certain aspects of working-class and pop culture for the sake of being "ironic". They move to working-class areas adjacent to already gentrified areas and price people like me out. Some of them are okay, and the women tend to be kinda hot, but most are fuckin annoying snot-nosed brats.

    Hipster I think is probably a broader category than that, but that's the first thing that comes to mind when I hear "hipster", and pretty sure that's the kind of hipster zoomi was referring to.
