Oh shit, I just remembered something. I dry humped a bengali servant girl in my grandma's villa when I was like 12. No joke!

    Servant girl  Huh?

And her response to you was?

Latinas in TO are skanks. Make sure you follow a strict policy of "No Glove, No Love" with them.

I was quite comfortable bonking pakis without a love glove, I didn't pick up anything over there.

First Iblis had to undress. This I did with my face to the wall and it was only reluctantly that I let Sakhina help me. Then Sakhina turned me round in her sturdy, matter-of-fact way, held out my new bathing suit, and forced me ruthlessly into the tight-fitting wool. No sooner had I buttoned the shoulder straps than she lifted me up on the wooden bench against the back wall of the cabin, put my drum and sticks on my lap, and began, with quick energetic movements, to undress.

I love your exotic writing!  Afro

Mediterranean people are all like that, more passionate, it seems Persians and Pakis are not that different from us.   Northerners a bit colder and less emotional it would seem but I look forward to being proved wrong.

You didn't ask did you?   Wink

I thought that through interacting with us or watching us on TV, you Northerners would have easily noticed it.

People need Zakir Naik to explain it. grin12

Lol. I actually quoted your post by accident, but this thing is hilarious. He uses the abrogation of verses relating to alcohol to prove that sex with slaves is no longer allowed, when there was absolutely no abrogation for the verses relating to sex... and then he brings up international law banning slavery... well I guess international law abrogated the Quran. Well, that's Zakir Naik for you.  Tongue

But he doesn't circumvent the permitted slavery issue like Yusuf Estes.

    "Does Islam allow slavery?

Absolutely, yes it does, Islam does. But wait, hold on, before you go any further, there's only one kind of slavery, and it's only one way. What am I talking about? I'm talking about Allah. Not that Allah is our slave, but we are all slaves to Allah. This is the meaning, of the slave, of Allah. Slave of Allah."

Also, for the past few days, my dad has been forcing me to watch these Dawagandist lectures and conversion stories on YouTube, trying to prove Islam right.

Yusuf Estes and Zakir Naik have become favorites of his.

It's so obvious that he's only going to show me what he wants me to see.

As of recent, my parents have begun to notice that me and my sister are unhappy with Islam.

I finally cracked after having to deal with their extreme religiosity, prejudice, and self-righteousness.

All I did was ask: "How do you know you are right?"

Two days ago, they literally held me hostage, and I had to put up with their circular reasoning until I asked "Isn't it time for Maghrib?".

So I think I'm safe - for now.

There's absolutely no point in arguing with close-minded religious parents. Coming out to them is just a matter of them accepting/tolerating who you are. You're not trying to convince them of your beliefs.

The problem is, such parents DEMAND answers for such a shift in their children's religious beliefs and before any of the kids have the opportunity to have a reasonable discussion, the emotional blackmail and forced participation of religious dogma begins.

    I wasn't.

I was just resisting when they tried to do that to me.

But I know, I'm in no good position to resist.

I personally wouldn't get into such a discussion. Telling them you stopped believing is one thing, but explicitly pointing out all the faults you see in the Quran and the religion in general would just make it worse. It's a Pandora's box.

I was just resisting when they tried to do that to me.

Even if you resist, my advice would be to not frame it as an argument against their religion. Just pretend that you're apathetic. Once you've openly apostatized, you're an enemy. Till then, they can't accuse you of anything.

I'm here to join in your conversations, I hope to contribute to deep and meaningful conversations in the future.

Now I'm not a Muslim however, and my parent's and grandparents weren't either so I'm not really an ex-Muslim.

I understand the want to join Islam.. I totally do. Young men love killing for a cause, or doing something worth while, dieing for something. But I always tell them, why for Allah? Why for Islam? There are better things you could rebel against, there are better causes to die for! Leave religion aside.

Anyways, hope to engage in nice conversations in the future  parrot

(Another belated) welcome! Nice to see you here.
