    Qad kana lakum “ayatun fi fi-“atayni iltaqata fi-“atun tuqatilu fi sabili Allahi wa-“ukhra kafiratun yarawnahum mithlay-him ra-“ya al-‘ayni wa-Allahu yu-“ayyidu binasrihi man yasha-“u “inna fi dhalika la-“ibratan li-“uli al-“absari
       
       



    I gave you entire line Arabic. Im not sure which one it is in Arabic. But I guessing if you read the whole thing you can understand what the mean of the word "ibrata AL" is

    'Ibratan' means moral, as in moral of the story. Or lesson, if you will. Could be translated into example, too, but that's a bit different from the context of that sentence.

    عبرة means: moral, lesson, reminder, example, etc...
