And what exactly is "that society"? Is it Saudi? Is it the Islamic society? Is it the Arab society?

We live in the age of globalization. Arguably, the whole world is one society.

And remember, your religion claims that it's applicable to all people. That must mean it thinks all people deserve equal rights... well, I mean, except women and teh gays and slaves.

Yes it is cruel. However Death Penalty for 1st Degree Murderers is no where near as cruel punishment as trying to deliberately paralyze someone founding guilty of aggravated assault. Life in Prison would be better

This happens a lot. There has been several cases in Canada where people have been found guilty for murders they did not commit. Fortunately, we do not have death penalty in Canada. Paul Morin, John Marshall and David Milgard were convicted and spent many years in jail for the murders they did not commit. Eventually, after many years of struggle by their families and concerned lawyers, they were released.

In all 3 cases, they found the real culprits. While the innocent men were in jail the real culprits were roaming around and committing more crimes.

A human has a right to life. There's absolutely nothing controversial about that. It's very explicitly stated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. And killing a billion people isn't going to change your DNA to make you something other than human.

It depends on what you mean by "human rights". If you mean state-sanctioned executions of individuals found guilty of a crime then I'd try to keep my nose out. If its say genocides then no. A more fitting crime would be to make the perpetrator financially responsible for the victim. For instance he must give 60% of what he earns to the victim for the rest of his life, or something like that.

Defending yourself is not the same as being a madman yourself and going to the same extreme as the other guy, making you no different from him. If someone hits me I will defend myself but I will not go and demand that the state shoves red hot iron rods in his eyes or do it myself if I can avoid it. Can you define to me what "the UK" is? To me, any country is its people. Nothing more, nothing less. Hating the government or its laws or its institutions doesn't equate to hating the country. Those things exist to serve the people. A person might love the people so much that he believes the laws and institutions are so unjust that they need to be gotten rid of and replaced, to better serve the people.

I disagree, there is far more to a country than simply its people. There is a culture and a history and usually even a language as well to give her and her people an identity. I was not implying that republicans hate the UK people, merely one aspect of the UK's identity, the monarchy. They might not hate the other stuff either.
