Does speaking with lots of english words in Urdu&Hindi mean you're a terrible speaker, or are there actually so many borrowed English words? Everytime I see some Indian movie, it feels like I understand a quarter of what they're saying. And I dont even speak Hindi.

**This is written by someone who's procrastinating...I should be doing a report/studying for a test.Damn it!

Many people use English words as a sort of "filler" in Urdu, I rarely come across people who speak purely in Urdu... I.e. gulabi ("pink") Urdu is quite common. Nonetheless, Urdu has many borrowings from Persian and to a lesser extent, some Turkish & Arabic.
I think the word Urdu itself is derived from "ordu".

In that case, the closest you could probably get would be piyala? (although that isn't terribly accurate).
"Glass" is widely used anyways, it's commonplace.

glass also = kaanch (the material), or chashma (eye glasses), but yeah the drinking vessel is usually just called glass like "ek glass paani to do." You can also say 'magga' which is probably a desified way of saying 'mug'. An olden urdu way of saying it was "Aab-e-khora" but nobody really uses that anymore.

Wow never heard of that word! Urdu is indeed a very interesting language.
    Magga is more punjabi-like.

"Donde fuego se hace, humo sale"

The Spanish equivalent of : "Where there's smoke, there is fire".
With the pronounication (within Spain) being "Donde fuego se hathe, umo sale", it sounds cool.
