    I read that when I was younger and saw a play inspired by it last month.  It's a good read.
    So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?

    Moral Relativism: A Short Introduction by Neil Levy.

    Just started out, its good to go back over the basics.  I like his writing style too, he uses a lot of examples and has a relaxed exposition.

    I'm reading The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood, Shalimar the Clown by Salman Rushdie, the Divine Comedy, The Second Sex by Simone de Beauvoir, and Paradise Lost. Oh, and Frankenstein. And Moving Pictures by Terry Pratchett.

    I'm going to start reading Steinbeck again.
    I read The Grapes of Wrath, Tortilla Flat, Cannery Row, The Pearl and of course Of Mice and Men when I was a teenager and remember not being able to put them down they had such an impact on me. Time to read them again methinks.
    I just read One Day by David Nicholls; frankly was disappointed, only just made it to the end and even then only because I get annoyed about the number of books I abandon half way through.

    Also, Steinbeck is magnificent. I think East of Eden is my favourite by him.

    I'm currently reading someone-or-the-other's translation of the Ramayana. As well as everything else I'm reading. I should probably try reading all the books I'm in the middle of first before opening a new one...

    I am looking for picture of Thomas Aikenhead .. No success in getting that picture of  20 year old Blasphemer.. So I used Diderot to remember Aikenhead

    click the picture you can read that 40 pages booklet  on that 20 year old   Thomas who was executed by rogues of that time.   Huh! this is an interesting book..

    I can't believe some of you guys actually 'read' textbooks...I tend to just scan through them, and look at sections I need - Don't really count that as proper reading material.

    I'm currently reading Light Years by ...can't remember the guys name Brain something....Reading it slowly but it's good.

    I'm reading Robin Hobb The Inheritance...........but I'm also "reading" The brothers karamazov by Dostoevsky..................sort of, but then i pick up my Hobb, because that's more entertaining.

    Really? I was laughing throughout the Bros Karamazov. Well, bits of it. Crime and Punishment was hilarious though. That Raskolnikov character is so funny! Cheesy
