Is your grammar defective? Just askin'.

says da ex Catholic.  How was the ritualism cannibalism going?  Tongue

But yea Mormons are freaking nuts.  The max legal alcohol limit in Utah is 5%.  5%! I might as well not even try to drink with it that low.

So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?

limit the alcohol limit? yea, it still is that way.  You can only buy liquor at state run stores that have the strangest hours possible so to discourage the average non - planning drinkers  from the super dedicated drinkers.  That doesn't cover the craziness of Mormons though.  Old school racism institutionalized,  a slight misogynistic bent, demanding 10% of all income for the church.  The good times.

This should be good though.  I fully expect Mormons to riot in the streets and burn things

Take it easy with your first drink. Maybe try an alcohol / fruit drink mix, take it easy though. Its easy to get wrecked, don't knock them back, and if you can, drink with a friend who can look after you if it goes to your head too quick.

Then you can build up a tolerance, know your drinking boundaries, and experiment with other drinks, try wine next. A nice dry red wine is good for new drinkers.

Sounds kind of similar to Islam.

Did the church happen to have an equivalent of a fatwa?

Try this : Galliano Hot Shot

    Ingredients :
    ¾ oz Espresso Coffee (hot)
    ■¾ oz Galliano
    ■Whipped Cream
    ■Nutmeg (optional)
Directions  EditLayer in a shooter glass in the following order:

    1.Pour Espresso Coffee first.
2.Using a teaspoon, hold it at a slant above coffee, without touching it. Gently and slowly pour the Galliano onto the spoon so it seeps past the coffee on the side of the shooter glass. If done properly, Galliano will seep to the bottom creating a layered effect (see photo).
    3.Top with Whipped Cream
4.Optional, you can sprinkle a dash of nutmeg on top.

    Quote
Liquore Galliano L'Autentico, known more commonly as Galliano, is a sweet herbal liqueur created in 1896 by Italian distiller and brandy producer Arturo Vaccari of Livorno, Tuscany. Vaccari named the spirit after Giuseppe Galliano, an Italian hero of the First Italo–Ethiopian War at the end of the 19th century. Its vivid yellow color, currently derived from tartrazine (a lemon-yellow azo dye), symbolizes the Gold Rushes of the 1890s.

The liqueur was made by blending local Italian ingredients (anise, lavender, mint) with herbs and plants from far away countries (vanilla, cinnamon, coriander). Vaccari chose yellow as the color of Galliano to symbolize the gold rush and named his creation in honor of Giuseppe Galliano, an Italian hero from the Abyssinian Italian colonial wars.

Among the many ingredients in Galliano are star anise from China , Mediterranean anise, juniper, musk yarrow, ginger, lavender and peppermint as well as vanilla with its delicate aroma and cinnamon with its spicy touch. Vanilla is the most important ingredient in Galliano. Neutral alcohol is infused with the pressings from all herbs and plants with exception of vanilla. The liquid is distilled and then infused with pressed vanilla. In the final stage distilled water, refined sugar and pure neutral alcohol are blended with the base. 30% alcohol by volume, Galliano possesses a unique, complex, intense, yet mellow aroma. When drunk, a full smooth flavor fills the mouth. The fresh aniseed flavors balance the sweet vanilla ones.

Try Leffe blonde or Hoegaarden Afro

They are both beers that actually taste nice!

I recommend drinking indoors or if you are out then with good friends who'll take you home just in case. Drinking for the first time cure can make you're head spin like ... wacko

    All the best. Stay safe.

Btw, not to spoil any fun, but getting "shit faced" really isn't worth the hype. You're killing good brain cells which will take weeks to recover and it will affecting your thinking and memory and general character. Alcohol is a mood amplifier, if you are angry it will make you aggressive. If you are jolly it will make you more merry. If you are on a hot date and are enjoying the chemistry ... well you get the point. Drinking isn't about getting drunk, it is about enjoying the amplified nice experience and loosening yourself up a bit and enjoying dancing to some good music and generally having a good time. But each to their own. All the best.  Afro

The Catholic Church has an equivalent of a fatwa, except it's done by the Pope. Apparently Islam and Catholicism are twin brothers... or so I read.

Drinking prolly isn't going to be the best experience but I like the thought of being able to now got a list of things I can do now thanks to leaving but isnt the reason why I left lol I always thought i would be more funnier being drunk (like to think of myself as funny) but I would probably do the most stupid things

    I hate you.

Whisky is nectar of the gods. How can you ruin it by mixing it with coke? Its the most delightful drink to sip with at most a little water, or ice, to open up its flavour. Its like drowning the most delicious cuisine in tomato ketchup.
