     OP - December 19, 2010, 11:12 PM

When I was younger without anybody telling me I hated Jews and Christians for no entire reason . Actually when I was around 5 years old I told my mother I hated Jesus Christ because he misled all of those christians looool , afterwards she explained to me that he was a prophet . But as I got older I noticed whenever I was around my cousins who were of the age between 5-12 , they hated jews for no reason I was always simply disturbed by this . Its like they naturally knew how to feel towards them  far away hug far away hug

I never hated Jews (or Christians), it used to disturb me when people said horrible things about them just for being what they are.

i quite liked the joos actually - in fact when i was a teen we lived in an area in London that had a very prominent orthodox jewish population (Stamford Hill). the relations between the Muslims and the juice in the area was actually rather good (we had a synagogue and the mosque just a few doors away from each other), although there was occasionally instances where teengaers would make a tiny bit of trouble - but it was nothing really. one of my muslim friends once was actually going to  beat up on a jewish kid for no real good reason once but i stopped him and almost ended up getting into a fight with the muslim friend. in my experience very few ordinary muslims are 'jew haters'.

Dont you find Muslims are always accusing them of driving most of the conspiracy theories?

The last time I heard the joke "the only mistake Hitler made was the 10 million Jews he left behind" in a predominantly Muslim audience, it got a barrel of laughs & they all wanted more.

I think you are wrong (although hatred might be too strong a word), in their heart of hearts they are deeply suspicious & dislike Jews.

well this might sound crazy to you but I find Jews and Muslims have a lot in common, I mean the way they are pursuing there right of domination of the world theory and alike moderate Muslims, moderate Jews living any where in the world though do not practically contribute to the effort but, still support it emotionally at the least. hairy imp, your map forgets to describe that the arabs declared a war on israel a few times and that "palestine" got smaller and smaller because of that... and it also conveniently forgets to mention that "palestine" was actually parts of Jordan,Egypt and Syria and that a Palestinian land/state never existed... The occupied east bank was actually a part of Jordan that was occupied during a war that the Arabs started...

The name "Palestine" is the cognate of an ancient word meaning "Philistines" or "Land of the Philistines".[7][8][9] In keeping with the Greek culture of the day, it has also been suggested that it may also be a play on the word Παλαιστής Palaistes (Greek for wrestler) and a reference to Jacob, later called Israel, the founder of the ancient Israeli nation.[10]

    Bardhi_i_zi

Please do not suggest that Israel existed long time ago and there was no Palestine, history of Palestine pre-dates, Abraham as per some historians, for the next part. We can debate for hours what is the cause of current day Palestine, but I am a kinda a guy who says what is done is done, let's see what can we do now, no Arab today in right mind will ask for a complete destruction of Israel, I know some still do but I am talking about the ones with right mind, all they want from Israel is to accept UN resolutions that should be sufficient

Dude, muslims conquered a lot of land by force. There is no reason for Israel not to fight back. The only thing wrong in this picture is that they are like a few thousand years late in their conquest.

And mind you, you are on an atheist forum. There was no Ibrahim. Really!! There are absolutely no traces of him.

there is nothing in the world that can explain this

It's pretty easy to explain actually. The state of Israel is simply trying to claim/annex as much land as possible.
The map is not up to date though. That white speck in Gaza is gone now - Israel has abandoned settlements in Gaza completely. On the other hand there is less green colour in the West Bank now and getting smaller day by day.

The only think wrong in this pictures is they are like few thousand years late in their conquest.

    Good point.

I am not referring to ideologies here, I am talking about the people and the land in question is by not any means israeli although they claimed it under God's name a long time ago then lost it and now again in an effort (nearly complete) to claim it but with oppression both times. So do you hate the Turks for throwing out the Ottomans too?

Never hated jews as a heathen, xian or muslim.  Have had many
jewish friends throughout my life, and all of them of exceptional character.

Why is it when muslims CLAIM to be wronged, the world should stop revolving,
but when they incite, then win a battle, its documented for centuries as a proud display?

I might have not made my self clear, but to make it a little more clear. No I do not hate Jews only for the fact they are Jews, I do not hate anyone for anything for that matter, and just like you said have some Jew friends, most of my favourite comedians are Jews especially Bill Maher (although he denounces religion but by birth is half Jew) except of-course individually that person is a dick. However I do not have any respect (still will not call it hatred) for the ones who support or have the general mainstream Idea that all Jews are led to believe, that they are a chosen nation and it is their birth right to rule the world stuff. Exactly like I do not have any respect for the Muslims that believe they have to convert everyone to Islam or kill them and the Muslims who support Muslims like this.

Whoa, I don't think this statement can be attributed to the Jewish people! All they generally have wanted is to be left alone to live in peace and security. The whole "Jews want to take over the world" stuff is a complete lie made up by the Russians in order to justify the horrible slaughter and expulsions that they carried out against the Jewish people in the late 19th century.

you are referring to mainly a book called "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" that came out I believe some where in 1890s and can be accused of being responsible for a very horrific outcome i.e. Holocaust. But I am referring to the covenants between God and the Hebrews starting from,

Actually, interesting article about the rise of anti-Semitism within Left-wing politics. Particularly, the attitudes some extreme Leftists have wear they believe that they can interchange "Israelis" with "Jews" in addressing the worlds problems, waving "We Are All Hezbollah" placcards around, and turning a blind-eye to anti-Semetic rhetoric within the Left. I think it is perhaps one of the most strangest and ironic things...

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_antisemitism

    Definition:

    Quote
New antisemitism is the name of the concept that a new form of antisemitism has developed in the late 20th and early 21st centuries, emanating simultaneously from the left, radical Islam and the right, and tending to manifest itself as opposition to Zionism and the State of Israel.

    Quote
It is at the farthest reaches of the Left, where there is a fixation with the Palestinians, that we find the brashest expressions of anti- Semitism. Among the mosaic of groups that compose the "antiglobalization" movement, as well as among the remnants of the New Left, anti-Semitic rhetoric and symbolism is rife. The UN World Conference against Racism in Durban in September 2001, the conferences organized by the World Social Forum in India and Brazil, and the marches in several European cities against the U.S.- led intervention in Iraq are all examples of public events where Jews have been actively denigrated. Such displays have commonly been presented as manifestations of the "new anti-Semitism," generally dated back to September 2000, when the second Palestinian intifada began. Decidedly, this "new" anti-Semitism, which would deny self-determination to the Jews even as it celebrates this principle for other nationalities, is driven by the Left, and not the Right. Even so, it is far from new.

This recasting of Zionism as a causal factor of anti-Semitism, rather than an authentic Jewish response to it, is a uniquely leftist contribution to anti-Semitic doctrine. It is, moreover, intimately linked to the accusation of Zionist collaboration with the Nazis. As Rubinstein points out, whereas for the neo-Nazis the Shoah is a hoax, for the far Left "[t]he Holocaust now emerges as the Jews (or Jewish nationalism's) greatest crime - the autogenocide of the Twentieth Century."

This "Lefty" here, so wonderfully in-tune with human rights, clumping a criticism of Israel with the belief that the Nazis should have wiped the rest of the Jews off the planet. How sadly ironic and absolutely disgusting:

The saddest thing of all is that I've encountered this with one person. A friend who supported Palestinians, which is fine, but said that she thought Jews caused a lot of problems. Somehow, once again, clumping the two together. It's very sad that people sort of almost allow anti-Semetic rhetoric to poison their arguments without realising it.

I'm familiar with the covenant. With that said there are millions of people who identify as Jewish and do not take the words of the Old Testament covenant seriously. Jewishness to them is more of a cultural thing for them. Even among those who practice the religion you have diversity-Orthodox, Conservative, Reform and Reconstructionist.

I had very differing views projected onto me as I was growing up.  My mother's family are cultured, 'westernised' and elitist in some ways - my grandfather is an atheist. My father's side is quite religious, traditionalist and thus backward in many of their views.

However, it was my father who prevented me from becoming antisemetic like most of his family. He had/has a lot of Jewish friends (both Arab and English), and he harboured a bit of a cynical, bitter, self-loathing complex where he degraded and generalised his fellow Muslim Arabs quite a lot.  He used to rant on about how unreliable and backward most of 'us' are and that "one Jewish friend is worth a thousand Muslim friends", ha.  It was rather illogical - on the opposite extreme of antisemetism - but nonetheless managed to keep me from falling into a very common trap in what seems like a typical Muslim's mindset.

Against the ruin of the world, there
is only one defense: the creative act.

haryimp when posting wikki articles please read them... here is some information...

"What remained of the territories allotted to the Arab state was annexed by Jordan (the West Bank) and by Egypt (the Gaza Strip) from 1948 to 1967. During this time, Jordan and Egypt did not normalize the living conditions for the Palestinian refugees, neither did Israel after 1967. All Jewish inhabitants were expelled from the West Bank and the Gaza Stripe until the Israel occupation in 1967."

And the 1967 Israeli occupation happened because these two states and Syria thought they could start another war, which they lost together with the territory they had previously ANNEXED..... So Israel technically occupied Jordanian and Egyptian land, not Palestinian land since the Arabs themselves dismantled any chance of a Palestinian state in those early days......
