well every pious Muslim who ruled a country for 10 or more years with Allah ..Allah or Abdullah..Abdullah  can go to  that Sand land. Don't you know/remember this ISLAMIC HERO

    The King of Scotland
    Quote
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idi_Amin

Near the end of 1976, Amin officially declared himself "the uncrowned King of Scotland".[42] Amin lavished his guests and dignitaries with Scottish accordion music, while dressed in Scottish kilts.[43] He wrote to Queen Elizabeth II, "I would like you to arrange for me to visit Scotland, Ireland and Wales to meet the heads of revolutionary movements fighting against your imperialist oppression", and allegedly sent the Queen a telex that stated: "Dear Liz, if you want to know a real man, come to Kampala."[44] Amin sometimes argued that he was "the last King of Scotland".[45

    Quote
In January 1979, Nyerere mobilised the Tanzania People's Defence Force and counterattacked, joined by several groups of Ugandan exiles who had united as the Uganda National Liberation Army (UNLA). Amin's army retreated steadily, and despite military help from Libya's Muammar al-Gaddafi, he was forced to flee into exile by helicopter on 11 April 1979 when Kampala was captured. He escaped first to Libya where he stayed until 1980, and ultimately settled in Saudi Arabia where the Saudi royal family allowed him sanctuary and paid him a generous subsidy in return for his staying out of politics.[10] Amin lived for a number of years on the top two floors of the Novotel Hotel on Palestine Road in Jeddah. Having covered the Ugandan-Tanzania war for the BBC as chief Africa correspondent, in 1980 Brian Barron, in partnership with cameraman Mohammed Amin of Visnews in Nairobi, located Amin and secured the first interview with him since his deposition.[54]

Amin held that Uganda needed him and never expressed remorse for the nature of his regime.[55] In 1989, he attempted to return to Uganda, apparently to lead an armed group organised by Colonel Juma Oris. He reached Kinshasa, Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo), before Zairian President Mobutu forced him to return to Saudi Arabia.
    [edit] Amin's death

On 20 July 2003, one of Amin's wives, Madina, reported that he was in a coma and near death at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from kidney failure. She pleaded with the current Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to allow him to return to Uganda for the remainder of his life. Museveni replied that Amin would have to "answer for his sins the moment he was brought back."[56] Amin died at the hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on 16 August 2003. He was buried in Ruwais Cemetery in Jeddah

Heard of him, don't know much about him. My point was the irony of him fleeing like a bitch to saudi. Not saudi giving him refuge there, nawaz shareef even went there lol

French foreign minister defends offer to help ousted Tunisian president   writes a news paper

    Quote
Michele Alliot-Marie had suggested that French police could train their Tunisian counterparts because the "skills, recognised around the world, of our security forces allow us to resolve security situations of this type".

Her remarks laid bare France's ambiguous links to Tunisia's deposed president Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali and followed weeks of silence from French diplomacy over mounting social unrest and a security crackdown in which scores died.

It was only on Thursday, on the eve of Mr Ben Ali's downfall, that France joined international condemnation of his brutal methods and the regime's "disproportionate use of force".

"France did not see these events coming, any more than anyone else did," Ms Alliot-Marie said.

I say some women are better off staying in Burkha instead of in power seat.  One women has beaten that sincere young man in public in Tunisia for no fault of his  , he could not take that and took his life and  Tunisia exploded  all the way soft dictator.  Now this lady says that., I say to French give her a Burqa and send her to school to learn how to speak..  She says "she may not have worded that statement correctly"

Hey, AW, long time no see. I hope you've been keeping well.

I'm OK - almost 7 days without a ciggy now! Do you smoke?

Loved it - but hated the harm it does to health, teeth - and sick of smelling like an ashtray?

    Are you going on willpower?

Basically yes. I put a patch on a couple of times, but it doesn't make that much difference.

Well, you called R.Spencer a great scholar and gave a link to Jihad Watch, a site dedicated to fighting Islam wherever they find it. How much proof do you need? So... WELCOME to the dark side.

Quite right! lol Though I'm sure I don't have to tell you that Muslims will say it simply means that the messenger was the vehicle for relating the words of God.

But I agree with you and in fact I believe the companions at the time did not hold the Qur'an up as the infallible literal word of God, but knew very well they were the words of Muhammad - even if they did believe he was inspired. I have mentioned this before but you can find examples when companions like Omar and Abu Bakr wanted to (and did) change things both during Muhammad's life and after.
