    It was just going to be a private debate between myself and a really nice Muslim proselytiser I met in town over skype, but it seems as though he wants to bring backup Smiley

    well you should poke a him a bit before the start of the debate.,  Is it about Scriptures?  Is it about Prophets? is it about the Sufi followers? .. if the guys is nice Muslim, it could as well be "what people have  done in the name of Islam is bad but everything in real Islam is good."

    The words "Nobel" and "Prize" spring to mind.  I wonder why Harun Yahya has not been nominated......oh yes, the scientific establishment is controlled by Darwinists... which are as we know, Pagans.

    If the guy lives in your town, why not set up a real meeting which you would then record and upload?
    Only voice is fine by me as well or course, but I was just wondering.

    Is the debate over by the way? Or postponed?

    I don't intend to meet people in person.  Skype is okay. 

    Just finished, lasted about 2 hours.  It was good fun.  I'll upload it once I have blotted out my real name which inadvertently appears on my desktop during the talk Smiley

    It wasn't really much of a debate.  They presented me with some Quran miracles, I told them they were bollocks, they didn't know enough about them to argue and then we'd go onto another.

    Still, I'll upload it, should be there some time tomorrow.

    I take it there wasn't all the win you were hoping for in this encounter.

    That's the problem with these fundie faith heads; they see how the rational world works, want to feel a part of it because it's so fucking cool so they employ the same tools as the winners but are completely lost when it comes to the consiquence of correct tool usage. They've been trained by their religion not to use reason then told their religion is based on reason. They are lost before they start on the journey to truth because the map they have is a complete lie.

    You cannot reason someone out of a position they haven't reasoned themselves into. Can't remember who said it but it's a pretty damn good quote.

    I wasn't expecting any kind of win to be honest.  I got what I expected, them talking shit and me telling them why it is shit.  We didn't even get onto evolution. 

    The upshot of it was "We have another friend, will you debate with him".  I'd be happy to Smiley

    I am currently uploading a video you will be very interested in

    How did they take that? Were they even able to understand your argument.

    Because most of the times when I try to explain evolution to a religious nutter what I usually get is the old "why don't we see monkeys turning into humans nowadays, herp derp, I can count to potato ..."

    I uploaded it and it was rejected fo being too long.  My account was enabled for longer uploads, but it seems it was revoked from my account when I received a strike due to the copyright takedown from revelation tv.

    Can anyone here upload it if I stick it on a file upload site?

    I assume if anyone were to upload it they'd need special permission to upload 2- hour long vids, no?
