Well done billy....you have made a good point. You prove Shariah law is an abomination because it is derived from a divine source. That is clearly not a personal opinion you have convinced us all that you know that it is not really from a divine source, ending age long arguments for and against the existence of God. instead you have cut to the chase and proved by your feelings that it is not true and therefore an abomination. And to think so many other people missed this truth...well done you must be a proud girl.
I'm a fella, lightrays
Now listen. Please answer without sounding aggrieved. If some tribes from the Amazon rainforest walked into our society and insisted that their divinely sourced laws, using their jungle gods as their ultimate authority, which were fundamentally misogynistic, capricious, oppressive, bigoted, although they contained differing views on certain rulings, which were nevertheless all divine sourced from these Jungle Gods, would you say that they were to be respected, when we have a society founded on the principles of universal rights, secular democracy, free conscience, freedom of speech, the primacy of the individual over the communal, EQUALITY of women, etc etc etc, and that this Jungle Gods law must be accorded the legitimacy of our sophisticated laws and customs, founded in common law, universal sufferage, secularism but most importantly, never perfected, but always being amended by the people for the people............would you accept that Jungle Gods law, or would you consider their claims ridiculous, preposterous, silly, laughable, comical, but when you realise they are actually being serious, that in practice, their Jungle Gods law is an abomination?
Well, there you go then. That's what sharia is.
