There have been some. They are rare, but I can't remember any names right now. I think Dheli Beli does not break into a song and dance number.

@ VHD I feel nostalgic about old songs! Many of them had great lyrics and even those that were average were a pleasure to listen to!

Agreed, older songs seem far more chill.

Though I have been meaning to watch more olden golden stuff, its hard to find that stuff online (hell no am I paying for them). I dont actually know many black and white movies.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that Lara Lapa tune is BOSS!

I've always found Bollywood music really cheesy, but loved qawwalis. So when qawwali comes to Bollywood I like it.

As for not understanding a word, who cares? I don't understand this, but I love it - Corsican nationalist music sung by thuggish-looking blokes in a church.

As a youngster, Mohammed Rafi was the golden oldie as far as bollywood is concerned. Stopped watching bollywood movies by 1990 but each trip to pakistan exposes me to bollywood music and on my last visit these are the tunes that did it for me. Bout five years ago
