    A mother

    Blessed is your face
    Blessed is your name
    My beloved
    Blessed is your smile
Which makes my soul want to fly
    My beloved
    All the nights
    And all the times
    That you cared for me
    But i never realised it
    And now it’s too late
    Forgive me

Now i’m alone filled with so much shame
For all the years i caused you pain
If only i could sleep in your arms again
    Mother i’m lost without you

You were the sun that brightened my day
Now who’s going to wipe my tears away
If only i knew what i know today
    Mother i’m lost without you

    Mother... mother... o my mother
How i long to see you mother
In my heart, in my dreams
You are always with me mother

    You went and left me
    O light of my eyes
    O comfort of my nights
    You went and left me
Who, other than you, will embrace me?
Who, other than you, will cover me?
Who, other than you, will guard over me?
    Your pardon mother, forgive me

    EDIT:

how do you feel about your relationship with your mother since you left islam? Do you feel you've distanced yourself from her? Do you think she'll reject you for rejecting islam? Do wish you could go back and turn the clock just to be with your mother?

Which one?  step mum or real mum?

Step mum = muslim = leaving Islam never made her stop talking to me.  In fact she is the one who had me declared insane by the imam so that no one can judge me for leaving islam.   Roll Eyes  Well more like she pressured my dad.

It's me who has completely distanced myself from them, I haven't spoken to my step mum since she threatened to get people to kill my sister, and tried to bully my brother into beating my sister up.

Leaving Islam didn't distance me from her, she distanced herself and really she was lucky that I spoke to her at all.

    My real mum?

LOL who knows where the fuck she is right now.

The saddest part is I have always wanted to feel like I had a mum, but I have spent most of my life feling like an orphan who has no one.

    "My Lullaby" Maria Mena

    Mom,
please tell me what to do,
    I'm so disappointed in you,
You said those words that made me cry,
    And you always wondered why,
    why I sing my lullaby,

    Mom,
    please hurry home to me,
    I waited up so patiently,
You sit down and you start to cry,
But you never ask me why,
    Why I sing my lullaby,
    Why I sing my lullaby,

Was it my fault they lead you in the wrong direction,
Was it my fault they didn't show you any affection,
I show you when I start to cry,
    still you always wonder why,
    why I sing my lullaby

Mom why love me if your cold,
You'll just get bitter then grow old,
Ask me when I start to weep,
Then I'll tell you in my sleep, Why I sing my lullaby [x5]

    hugs

Oh berbs! it pierces me soul every time i think of all the atrocities you have been through. I could never imagine not having a loving mum, who'd kill to give me the all the happiness in this world. Who'd do anything and everything to wish me heaven in this life and the afterlife.

I guess the fact that you had a troubling childhood is the reason to why you are such a wonderful mother yourself. Smiley

    hugs
