Just watched the highlights over and over there. Heard what had happened but first time seeing it. Amazing.

According to the polls only 1.6 % of Americans are athiests. So what gives you the right to call the other 80% morons?'

Gah, another frickin' hamstring. Would really suck to lose the Champions League final to hamstring injuries... On the bright side Bayern's defence looked leakier than a colander yesterday... 6 days to go.... COME ON CHELSEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

    Not gonna happened

    Fernando Torres says hi.

    omgggggg its the 19thhhhhh  dance

I stand to make 1k if Chelsea win and score twice. I usually bet against them in big games, just to make it a sort-of win-win situation, but Bayern seem to be overwhelming favourites so it would have taken too high a stake to make a decent profit...

    Congratulations Chelsea.

Lets face it, their name was on the trophy this season.

OMG, intense match, could've cried by the end. I could empathize with all of the players on the pitch.

Well done to Chelsea, showed by far the most heart of any team through the knockout stages and were well deserved winners.  Afro

Cech man of the tournament for mine.

I remember that first game... 0-0 home to Milan, over 12 years ago (and RDM played in the reverse fixture, what a story that is)... long fuckin' wait. But what a way to win it. We were out about a dozen times throughout the competition... and so fitting that Drogba wins it. 9 finals he's played for Chelsea... the only one he didn't score in was Moscow... where he hit the post with a brilliant shot from 25 yards... and wasn't on the pitch to take the all important 5th penalty... come full circle today. grin12

Ashley Cole is the best player England has produced in a long time... damn shame he doesn't get the recognition he deserves... speaking of which - Petr Fuckin' Cech. Has made countless game-saving stops in this tournament and today 6 pens - went the right way 6 times, got a hand on the ball 4 times, kept 3 out. Unbelievable that all the pundits are saying Schweini took a bad pen, Petr Fuckin' Cech fuckin' saved it!

(hey I sound sober in this post! dance)

Ha yeah the parallels are stark... dominate against an English team... lead 1-0... awful, awful substitution... Matthaus off/ Tymoschuk out of defence... concede a corner... boom! Also I almost felt sorry for t'ham, then I burst out laughing.

Judging by Hazard's and Hulk's twitter messages, they've both signed for Chelsea... although I think the latter is over-rated and would have preferred Cavani/Falcao... Roman's not messing about, is he? Reminds me of the fantasy football that were the summers of 03 and 04... De Bruyne and Marin are yet to play a game too... can't wait for next season! dance

    I, predictably, am dreading it.

I'll be made up IF we sign Kagawa, but a sticking plaster won't heal the suppurating wound of the debt those Floridian gimps have inflicted on us.

As long as Ferguson is there ManUre are in a with a chance, he has a peerless ability to get his players up for every game, no matter who they're playing. He's won titles with mediocre squads before.

Still, a front 3 of Hazard, Torres and Hulk with Mata behind them next season is mouth-watering...

And our supine performance against City when we just needed a point for the title?

Brought about entirely by Ferguson's craven team selection and negative tactics.

And yes, your potential forward line does look quite tasty, but I bet you'd rather have Danny Wellbeck.

Well even the best get it wrong sometimes. But it would have been stupid to go full throttle away to City, given how strong they've been there. And really, that United squad had no right to finish joint-top with that City squad... save the tears for when Fergie leaves, which might be as early as next year according to some people in the game... Manure could buy two world-class players a season were it not for the interest payments on the Glazer debt... totally been mugged. It's hilarious. Oddly enough, Financial Fair Play (sic) might be the best thing for them. The rest of the league can't match their revenue.

Even more stupid not to play Valencia, who will both make goals and cover at right back.

We used to buy world-class players (Veron, van Nistelrooy, Ferdinand) with debt-free cash. the same debt-free cash that attracted the sharks. Capitalism - where strength and good husbandry makes you weak. You've just got to love it.

Chelsea and City's lawyers are apparently already planning to tie UEFA up in knots. And can you see Real Madrid ever submitting to FFP? Thought not.

Arsenal have received bids for captain Robin van Persie from Manchester City, Manchester United and Juventus.
The 28-year-old Netherlands striker will not be part of the Gunners squad that travels to Asia on Saturday for a three-match pre-season tour.
It is understood City, United and Juve have tabled offers in the region of £15m, but Arsenal are keen to hold out for a fee of £25-30m.
    Van Persie in numbers
Van Persie earned Arsenal 27 points last season, based on his goals and assists - the most of any player in the league
In the 2011-12 season, he scored a goal every 111 minutes while he was on the pitch
His total of 30 Premier League goals was more than his combined total from the previous two seasons
The Dutchman converted one in five chances last season, while 58% of his 141 shots were on target - the best record in the league
Van Persie's contract ends in 2013 and he says he will not sign a new deal.
The striker, who joined Arsenal from Feyenoord for £2.75m eight years ago, scored 41 goals in 53 games for club and country last season.
He was also named both the Professional Footballers' Association and Football Writers' player of the year last season.
However, he suffered a disappointing Euro 2012 campaign, finding the net only once as the Dutch crashed out of the tournament after losing all three group games.
After meeting with manager Arsene Wenger and chief executive Ivan Gazidis in mid-May, Van Persie revealed he had disagreed with both men on the way the Premier League club should move forward.
"I've thought long and hard about it, but I have decided not to extend my contract," the Dutchman, at the club since 2004, wrote on his website.

"This was a meeting about the club's future strategy and their policy. Financial terms or a contract have not been discussed, since that is not my priority at all.
"I personally have had a great season but my goal has been to win trophies with the team and to bring the club back to its glory days.
"Out of my huge respect for Mr Wenger, the players and the fans I don't want to go into any details, but unfortunately in this meeting it has again become clear to me that we in many aspects disagree on the way Arsenal FC should move forward."
Arsenal are due to play games in Malaysia, China and Hong Kong over the next two weeks.
They face a Malaysian XI on Tuesday in Kuala Lumpur, then head to Beijing to face Manchester City on Friday, 27 July. The Gunners finish their tour with a game against Kitchee FC in Hong Kong on Sunday, 29 July.
Van Persie will remain in England while Arsenal are away on tour, working on his fitness at the club's training base at London Colney.

Things are seeming more optimistic with the Van Persie situation right now. If we get Cazorla and keep Van Persie, Arsenal's attack is going to be mouth watering next season.
