    OK I want honesty here.

    I used to think homosexuality was wrong - against God. In my mind the idea of putting a penis into another man's arse was a disgusting thought.

    I honestly can't say I find this a very nice thought even now. But since leaving Islam I feel it's people's private matter - and of course it doesn't make you a bad person. (something I never thought even when I was a Muslim.)

    What are your HONEST thoughts? No PC Atheist bullshit please!

    I don't really have any thoughts about whether it's right or wrong, never have had, it's a private matter between two people.  But being honest I'd say it sucks if you ever really fancy someone of the opposite sex and then find out they're gay.  Huh?

    I'm only commenting on this thread because the mullah in my living room just said "The meat that we eat can actually make us homosexual because of the hormones the animal was going through ~bullshit" furious

    When I was a muslim I never found homosexuality wrong, I had my own theory about it, which resembled of the transexuals, because apparently with what I was brought up with, transexuals are forgiven and go to heaven (as it's not their fault the way they are), so naturally I considered homosexuals to be in the same boat.

    Now I don't.

    Now I think that homosexuality is perfectly fine and I might even be bisexual myself, I do not know for sure, but I would love to find out, and for me to know, I need to kiss a girl (and I liked it .. hope my boyfriend don't mind it) .. so who is going to be puckering up for me? Kiss

    Hehehe .. but seriously there is nothing even slightly wrong with homosexuality, and the fact that Islam incites hatred against homosexuals, I hate it (Islam) all the more. furious

    A lot of sexual things can seem grotesque when you think about them, although bum-sex strikes me as being particularly icky, even if it were with a woman. But that's just a matter of personal opinion, not so much a moral judgment.

    I'm a pretty laissez faire when it comes to what people do, I couldn't care less. Aesthetically though, I disagree with it, I'd prefer to be heterosexual. I just think women are better looking.  Afro

    all i know is i don't think homosexuals should be killed by being thrown off cliffs, beheaded, stoned to death or killed in any other way. i don't think 'virgin gays' should be flogged.

    Well, maybe if you're in the right mood for it, but I'm a very inhibited and repressed person and so naturally, when I think of it, I think it's icky.

    Homosexuality irks me. But I believe it is morally wrong to treat a homosexual less than a heterosexual. There difference in sexual polarity does not make them less human. Plus, homosexuality is common in nature.

    I hated homosexual and made fun of them since it was "cool" and when i found out islams stand point on it then i became more encourgaed.

    Then i got to know a gay and didn't found out that he was gay till a later time. After that even though i was a muslim i didn't hate gays but i found it disscusting. Now i have 4 friends who are homosexaul and i have no problem with them. I don't find anything wrong with it either it is "natrual" Smiley.

    Hassan, to seriously respond to this-

    I think I've always been a liberal child.. only small effects of the indoctrination my parents put on us. We never talked about homosexuality a lot anyway, besides knowing it was "wrong" they didn't elaborate much and weren't openly homophobic.

    Maybe when I was growing up I didn't personally understand it, but how could I, as a hetero?  Cheesy

    But I've always accepted it. Never understood why anyone would even care what other people do in their personal lives. Makes no sense to me......

    Unless people have some agenda where they want to force their personal beliefs on others (and it seems like some Muslims do  Roll Eyes ) or they claim that it DOES personally hurt them (of course they can't back this up) when you tell them "People can do whatever they want as long as it doesn't harm others" and they respond "But it does harm me."

    Now, I have an even more liberal view and things have changed a lot over the years for me. I really just think love is love. If two people have real feelings for each other (feelings of whatever kind), who is anyone to question that?
