I just watched the first episode of season seven of Dexter.

OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHITTTTT!!!!

As happy as I was to be watching a new Dexter episode, I felt a little bit cheated because there was not a dramatic showdown between Dex and Debs. And just when I thought it was all gonna be passed over and we'd be moving on to another fresh case, they go and give us the REAL showdown at the end of the episode as yet another cliffhanger.

I both love and hate the writers for playing me like this.

I just started watching 24. The show is more addictive than crack cocaine.

i'm actually surprised 24 doesn't seem to be getting much of a mention in this thread - probably because it's quite old, but still i don't mind watching them again

One minor flaw that it does have is that it sometime feels like the show is trying way too hard to create tension.

I'm a third of the way through season 2 right now and I'm liking it so far but it's nowhere near as good as the first.

I'm onto the fourth season of 24.

The writers of the show are deserve to be shot by a firing squad. It's like they put no thought into the script and just pick out random plot twists out of a hat. Except that after the fourth season, the plot twists don't seem so random anymore -- they're as boring and predictable as it gets.

The Final Season of the Big Bang is going pretty good.

The parts with Howard and at the space station are so jokes  Cheesy

So happy that Dexter is back on. We've come a long way since that first opening scene

Does anyone else think Heath Ledger's Joker was inspired in part by Dexter? Michael C. Hall would make a fucking fantastic Joker if Christopher Nolan decided to revisit the Batman universe.

Just watched the first episode of Arrow, looks entertaining.
Revolution also seems to be nice, just get frustrated at waiting for the next episode  grin12
Watched 1st 3 episodes of the comedy Neighbors as well, also keeps me giggling "is there a god?....next question" love it.
Homeland Season 2 and Person of Interest is also keeping me busy, my wife is happy that VD is starting, not my cup of tea though.

All in all some good TV happening

It's pretty good so far, although you can't do much better than season 4.

Anyway, it's not the final season, the show was renewed in 2011 for at least 3 more seasons and is definitely up until at least 2014 (so that's at least one more season after this).

Even when this show finishes all their seasons. I'm still going to buy/download all the seasons and re watch them. I swear this show is going to be a classic comedy.

There is no other comedy show that captures the style of the big bang theory.

I mean shows like How i met your mother are funny too but you can always find similiar sitcoms to it like friends, Modern Family.

The Big Bang Theory is as original as a comedy show can be.

The writers who wrote the script created a true gem.

The fact that there aren't any shows with that concept doesn't make it good, in my opinion. First two seasons were pretty funny (especially the second) but it got old after that, and I couldn't watch more than a handful of episodes into season three.

Loving the new season of Dexter so far

I like where the Dexter and Deborah storyline is going. Dexter's whole external persona is an act, and now that Deborah knows his secret the real Dexter is liberated. He can be his true self around her. And we get to learn more about him that way. It's also interesting and very true that Dexter's insights born of his inner killer has been Deborah's "secret weapon" all this time without her knowing.

seasons 1-3 were the best - after that the story does get a bit repetitive. still, gotta love jack bauer though.

OK. I've finished Breaking Bad Season 5 first half.

I don't know how I'm going to cope with the final episodes.

The tension is going to be unbearable.

And to think there will be no more after that. Will there ever be a show of its like again? How sad to think of it like that.

I'm starting to get frustrated-all of my favourite tv shows are having shit seasons. Plus the Big Bang theory is really going downhill fast. I might give up tv altogether or start with something like Broadwalk empire, Walking dead etc.

It seems to me that I read somewhere that Gilligan hinted (very very vaguely, of course) at the fact that maybe one of his kids will die from it. I could see that happening. Maybe baby Holly will somehow find it.

I am dreading that Naerys. I fear it is inevitable that someone in his family is going to die. I could handle Skyler. But his son or daughter would be too much to take.

Walt has a lot of karma coming. It has to be someone he cares for that pays for his sins, otherwise it wont matter enough. As much as I love the character, I'd be disappointed by the writers if he's rewarded.

That is why I'm dreading it.

The first episode when he buys the guns as he celebrates his 52nd birthday

I wonder when that scene comes into it. Gilligan has foregrounded that. I wonder if that is the final episode. His last stand. Like Scarface.

I really don't see Walter riding off into the sunset at the end of the show. It's either death or prison. And yeah, the Scarface scenario sounds very plausible to me! But against who is the question. I can't see him going against the DEA, it wouldn't make much sense. Jesse maybe?

I never watched the Walking Dead, but I really recommende Boardwalk Empire. The first two seasons are fantastic. Third season started out well, but for the last two episodes things seem to have slowed down a bit. I'm sure they'll pick up though.

Jesse either links up with another cartel, or the DEA turn him informer? Does he discover that Walt let his girlfriend die? Oh god I can't stand the speculation

^ I loved it. Not started the second season yet. Might wait till the whole season is available.

Claire Danes is fantastic in it. Oscar winning acting in a TV drama. I've always liked her, but I didn't realise she had that depth as an actress.
