Yes, I'd like to learn Hebrew too. It's very closely-related to Arabic, and shares many words, roots, etc., with it.
LOL, regarding that, my Arabic teacher was ranting about that today. "The West is sending astronauts to the moon, and we're sitting in our little offices debating the philosophical reasons why the mubtada2 is marfoo3... Goddamit"
Never underestimate the importance of grammar. Indeed, there is quite an unfortunate dearth of understanding in this area among Western people, as evidenced by the fact that so many supposedly literate individuals can't even tell the difference between common words like 'then' and 'than,' and 'me' and 'I.'
Oh, and though the Americans may have sent astronauts to the moon, I bet a good portion of them still don't know that the famous phrase "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind" isn't grammatically correct.
(It is, of course, supposed to be: "One small step for
a man...")
