^ I thought I was being completely weird about this. I don't understand why it has to be a deal-breaker either but it always seems to be. >.<

I view relationships with females on a continuum rather than a friend-or-partner basis but I'm yet to find someone who shares that view... apparently it makes me a sleaze-ball...

Oh, don't worry. You could be right on this issue and still be a sleaze-ball, hey.  whistling2

1- child support is not a reward.

2- what is this imaginary child support you speak of?  I get £5 a week child support, is this the reward you speak of?

Is this child support you speak of the same thing that almost no single mum I know receives?

Try living in the real world instead of regurgitating shit you hear that has no basis in reality for most people.

£5 a week, thats fuck all.

I thought it was £70 quid a week or so.

Not when you're smart enough to get cash in hand jobs and claim to child support that you have no job.

Then, you just have a £5 taken off of your JSA.

    Smart douche.

Inhale the good shit, exhale the bullshit.

Can you explain that in non-gibberish? I don't understand what you mean.

Oh wait, your saying if your claiming JSA, you don't get child support? Rather then being a bitch why not try to explain it rationally, not everyone's an expert on claiming from the government you know.
  • Re: Men and Women Can't be Friends :O
     Reply #130 - November 11, 2012, 07:49 PM

My wife might be pregnant so we will be claiming child support, so £5 looks like nothing. I mean, you can't even get baby-food for that much, you have to buy nappies, baby-food, and then clothes, I don't think you'd have the money left to buy the clothes from child support alone if you were getting something like £50 a week.

But of of course single mothers get more right, since they can claim child maintenance costs, as well as child benefit. I wonder how much that all totals upto.

Am not on her case, I understand her situation shes a genuine person, but there are women out there who aren't they are making twice as much on benefits then they would if they worked 35 hours a week on the NMW.

Maybe I am wrong, but I wish someone could tell me where I am wrong. Am not blaming or hating on anyone, I'd claim that money, if you're entitled to it then claim it, I'd do the same.

Hi- When you guys say child support I'm assuming you mean child benefit. It's not much at all but it's more than £5

Also, I think they (the Cameron government) want to cut it for anyone earning more than 42k but I'm not sure when that is

20 fucking quid? that can't be right! that's no way enough for a new born child. Wow, and I was thinking its something like £50 at min per child.

If you're earning more then 42k that's like a 1k a year, so that is nothing to complain about if your earning more then 42K, then it should defo go to families that need it.

I hope you read further on, the second child gets less than that.  So this probably squishes your theory that i am loaded on government money.

Just so you know, I'm not even on benefits anymore, I am living on student finance.  Which due to dropping out last year, is a whopping 7 grand for the entire year, to cover my rent, study costs, food, travel, electricity and gas (which combined cost me £50 a week during the winter).

So yea, I'm just a barrel of endless money according to some people on this thread.  Single mum, getting untold child maintenance or government cash so that I can be lazy and not go to work.  lucky lucky me.

This week I am so full of money, I have £28 to see me through to thursday and an empty fridge.  You can't get richer than that.

You live on £50 quid a week? damn. I spend that much just barely on a gram. If I go out at least £20 quid on food, and then another £20 on drinks. I seriously, could not live on £50 a week, that would be my electricity bill after a week of gaming. I mean my power supply on my desktop is like 1200 watt, and am 1KWH costs about 25p, and I am using my desktop for hardcore gaming about 50 hours a week so that's about £125 on that a week.

Maybe that solar paneling roof isn't such a bad idea when you think about it. I need to talk to my father about that.
