They are small they can get into your blood stream, you might touch the cats ass, or it might rob it somewhere, and then you can pick it up like that.

Ohhhh!! Cool! Smiley Cats are very clean though, unless you don't change their litter box.

I don't see the point of cats or other pets, its like having a pointless living entity that you have to take care of, feed it etc, its not like it makes you money or you can eat it... The only animals allowed around the ones in the fridge.

They make me happy. They serve a purpose for me. Maybe they don't for you, but its not like my cats are bothering you.

wow... i couldnt imagine my life without a furby!
They bring joy, laughter, unconditional love,
cuddles when you really need a hug.  They
pick up when you are sick or feeling really down
and will actually try to comfort you!

They also can save your life.

Honestly I probably wouldnt be here right now if it werent
for several of my pets throughout my life.  Their compassion
and concern can be mind blowing.

Cats lick their bums, and then lick you. Whatever parasites maybe in their poop/pee can transfer to other places easily enough. You don't even have to own a cat for it to transfer to you. He is right about the schizophrenia too somewhat, a study has shown that an increase in schizo cases correlates with the rise in domesticated cat keeping. Cats don't cause shizo, just a parasite (called T-Gondi) that some carry can trigger schizo in those already susceptible to it.

But as I said earlier, there are many mind-altering parasites that you simply cannot avoid. Even the flu virus has mind-altering capabilities. A cat is the least of your worries.

Snarf is only 11 months old, he's still a young one. He loves to play with them.

awwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!  Yeah he is soakin in all the kitten love for sure! and probably
is happy to have kitty playmates who really love to play with him.

How is mom doing?  after all, she is the one doing all the work of grooming, feeding
and watching over her brood LOL.

Snarf is definitely happy having playmates Smiley Should really have got two kittens from the beginning but never mind.

Pfffffffffffftttttt!!! I wish!! She's had enough of them lol, avoids them whenever possible Cheesy She's still feeding them now and then, occasionally licks one if it wont leave her alone, but overall she lets them get on with it. When she feels lonely she'll go and call to them. She isn't a playful cat, she just likes to sit and do nothing, it must be a hard life being cat Roll Eyes She does like following us around the house, and just sits there staring at us (probably waiting for some chicken). Sometimes makes weird noises. She's attracted to water too, odd cat...

Btw, does anyone have any idea what breed Snarf might be?

Snarf just looks like a normal long haired moggie to me. I can't see any pedigree traits from the few pics I've seen, but I'm no expert!

Fair enough Wanky. I thought that might've been the case.

Flopsy just did the cutest little thing! She picked up a little toy for the kittens and meowed loudly for the kittens to come and play with it! 001_wub 001_wub 001_wub

It's a feral instinct. Mothers usually bring back live prey like mice and small birds and the call brings the kittens over to play and eat what she's brought. Good practice for future hunting.

One of my cats used to bring empty chocolate wrappers she'd found near rubbish bins. Another one would bring half eaten chicken bones and even used tea bags  Cheesy
