I dispute that there is legal equality among genders, we are still working on this in our criminal courts.

Only in the past few years have laws been changed to cease prosecuting the victims of sex traffickers.
Only in the past few years have guidelines been changed to even recognize male victims of domestic or sexual violence and provide them with legal rights.
These changes are not universal, either.

Having the laws on the books has not done much to further their actual court cases, either with prosecution or defense, which is why there are current social campaigns about these two issues across the country (USA) to bring pressure onto law enforcement and local governments regarding the above issues.

Actually, I'll somewhat bite on this. There isn't total legal equality between the sexes, just a lot more than modern day feminist claim there is. But the few inequities that do exist don't all favor men, in fact some favor women. So actually, yes I agree total legal equality doesn't exist, but this isn't a case for feminism, in fact a lot of feminist have been instrumental in keeping a lot of inequities that favor women in place.

I disagree that modern society hasn't done much to further equality, gender or otherwise, actually it very much has and does.
