In all seriousness though, what you're doing is not right, if you don't want to be with your wife, man up and tell her before you go catching an STD and passing it on to her

She deserves better then you, let her move on and you move on with you life
  • Re: Hi everyone, convert to islam thinking of leaving
     Reply #61 - June 25, 2012, 05:16 PM

your statistically less likely to catch and STD from a prostitute than the general public, as all sex is protected, and the girls get weekly gum tests, which is more than what you'll get if you pull in a nightclub.

I agree that she deserves better though, actually I dont think id get into any more relationships as it feels horrible to cheat and I dont think I can stay faithful to anyone. Perhaps when I get a bit older I might calm down a bit hopefully.

I dont think you can actually go to iran and practise mutah can you? I dont think thats a widespread phenomina and to be fair, as nice as iranian girls might be, i can do the same thing in uk or thailand without all the religious shite involved

    Hi Muhandis,

I think you should ask yourself why you want to leave Islam. Then view it dispassionately, see if you have good reasons and aren't just being blinded by your need for sexual pleasure, and then leave Islam if it is. "I want to have sex and Islam won't let me" is not a very good reason to leave Islam....but that's kinda all I read in your posts (sorry if I'm wrong).

I'm not married so I don't know how it really works (unlike some people here who have been married), but if I were your wife the last thing I'd want to know is that you've cheated on me. It'd make me feel like poo. I don't think people want to know that their husband cheated on them multiple times. But maybe she would want to know something like that if you leave her. You'd know her better than I do.

And yeah get something done about that sex addiction. :/

I have no advice to offer on your kids since I don't know anything about raising kids.

Also, people are gonna be judgmental if a man cheats on his wife numerous times and shows little to no remorse, chalking it up to an addiction. :/ Like srsly dude.....that's kinda weird...No offence.

hi chepea, its not really that Im leaving islam just because I cant do stuff, I didnt become a muslim in the first place for the right reasons. You should be a muslim if you believe in la ilaaha ilallah right? I became muslim because the way of life seemed better than what I grew up with. So the "imaan" wasnt there in the first place. It was more ideological than spiritual. So I found the rituals monotonous because nothing was there.

So im leaving Islam because I dont believe in it and it doenst do anything for me really. I dont have any fear of the afterlife because I dont believe one exists. I think i will die and rest peacefully regardless of what I did in this life so I might aswell party for a few years doing what I enjoy before departing from this world and rotting in the ground. Its as simple as that really.

no im a british convert so your guesses are all wrong and plus im noone majorly famous but it will be a matter of interest as to who i exactly am when I reveal all but that will only be to seasoned and trusted members and only when i feel like doing so. Im not any of the famous "du'aat" though so dont expect me to be some major thorn in the sides of the muslims. I have been mentioned on this forum before though so it will be a matter of interest to some people

Oh right. :/ Maybe you should look into it as more of a religion now, rather than a reactionary escape from Western ideals? (Although you seem to be espousing those now. Tongue)

Tell you what chepea, seeing as you have a massive post count and are clearly a genuine member, when I decide to tell people who I am I promise you'll be on the list of people to know, but obviously I wanna settle in first and get to know everyone.

Regarding looking into Islam as a religion, I dont really know what reason i'd have to look at islam specifically over any other religion if I was going to go for a religion. For me its not as clear cut as either western values or muslim values, and values themselves are no good if i cant actually follow them so I need to sort it out first, perhaps one day ill consider religion for the spirituality of it and the deep theological beliefs etc but I got too much energy for that at the moment to be honest.

    as Im contemplating leaving Islam

Mate, if you don't believe in the Shahadah you've already left...

I really do think you need to get some therapy for your sex addiction... After all when someone has an addiction to alcohol, narcotics etc they go to rehab right? You need to sort it, the psychological effects can be very damaging.

With regards to your family... I'm not going to pretend I am in anyway sympathetic to you because I absolutely detest cheaters and selfish parents. As someone who has come across both, I can't even describe how hurtful these things are to have happen to you, and the knock-on effects that these things have on a person.

You really really need to talk to your wife. You owe her that. Whether or not you choose to tell her the whole truth is completely up to you of course, but I do think you need to be careful about how you go about it. Have you even tried to make it work?
  • Re: Hi everyone, convert to islam thinking of leaving
     Reply #81 - June 25, 2012, 08:08 PM

I know, I need to see a councillor or something, but does that stuff work? Is there organisations for sex addictions?

I have tried to make it work for a long time, but i will be miserable and unhappy for the rest of my life and cheating on my wife so its in both our best interests for me to leave in my oppinion.

Oh what a terrible mess. perhaps i should think carefully before joining any more cults.

its not true that i dont care about my kids though, i really do love them

Yes there are, a quick google search for those services in your area should show you how to gain access to them. There's lots of self- referral counselling services available too.
It does work if you're willing to be completely open abut it. I've had counselling over the years for a number of issues, and no matter how silly or stupid you feel about saying things, it is important you talk about it honestly. Someone hearing this from an objective standpoint can piece together various issues and help you get over/through things.

It takes time though; don't expect instant results.

Tbh I think you'd be better leaving her too, it's not fair to drag her through that, she could have a happy life with someone else that actually loves her.

It's how you go about it that's really important, because there are children involved it makes the situation even more delicate.

I'm sure you do actually, I think just from what you've written it does seem like you're valuing hookers over being a good parent. Whilst this may not be the case, remember that all we have to go off is your posts... No-one on here knows you personally, knows what sort of person you are and cannot tell the tone of what you're writing as we're not hearing you speak about it. Which is probably why you've received some disparaging comments lol.

Oh right. :/ But don't you want the truth?

not really to be honest, the amount of effort it takes to embark on that type of journey is beyond me at the moment, I just want to do my own thing without any pressure as i find religion stressful.

I dont FEEL like there is a God or an afterlife. I know "feeling" isnt a fool proof way of determining religion but I am willing to take my chances. Trying to get my head around how on earth the universe got here etc is something I dont think I'll ever understand. Perhaps when Im older I might look into things a bit more when Ive calmed down a bit and bit more relaxed.

I guess in theology I would probabily lean more towards Islam in some ways,  if I was to believe in a religion, because hinduism just sounds like some crazy greek mythology to me with gods running round killing each otehr etc, it sounds kinda made up, and christianity is a bit nonsensical in terms of the trinity etc, but the problem with islam isnt so much the theology, which does make sense i guess, in terms of their understanding of God, but the issue is more towards the practices, chopping off hands, 4 wives, Hijabs and whatnot, doesnt sound very right to me.

But at the  moment Im willing to take my chances and not believe in anything.

How come your so keen to get me to rethink my apostacy anyways lol, thought you would be happy I left Islam, given your an apostate n all lol. WHat about you? So your a deist?

Hmm!  Fascinating ride in this thread!

On who you are, I go for one of those guys from Weymouth who went to Tower Hamlets, one of whom had an adult circumcision whilst the TV crew were following them!

But actually, as you are a Brit it sounds like a full purpose of life review is required!

Where are you from, what is your history, where are you now in your life compared with where you wanted to be earlier, where do you want to be?  What are your dreams?

Was Islam like a diversion on life's road?  Why do you seem so attracted to what feels like switching between an Islamic porn world - what did I read somewhere - that in Islamic heaven males have never ending erections, to a western one?

    Might you be gay?

Maybe you are in the wrong career - you need to be a rockstar or footballer?

Do you have an education?  Did you miss out on one?  Do you have a profession?

When you are a Bear of Very Little Brain, and you Think of Things, you find sometimes that a Thing which seemed very Thingish inside you is quite different when it gets out into the open and has other people looking at it.
