    I think Chinese would be like Japanese to me, not very difficult grammar, but you have to struggle with kanji!　日本語の文法はあまり難しくないですが漢字は覚えにくいですよ。 I think many people think these languages are difficult just because of kanji. There are other difficulties of course, like the vowel combinations in these languages. I can see a native speaker of Arabic have a hard time trying to get the pronunciation of some words right just because of the vowels. Smiley

    More related to the Chinese government rather than the country or the people, and I expect people think its bad form to criticize someone for something like that they have no control over.

    To be honest human rights problems are something I think about when I think of China, both the ones originating from government and global free market forces.

    I'd like to have an extra Chinese brain to use in place of my own from time to time. The stereotype of asian immigrants in America is that they are incredibly intelligent, but having studied, played, and competed with many, many kids with roots in China and Korea I've been more impressed by the speed of thought than anything else. Also it might help me get gosu gaming skills, so that would be nice.
