there is some truth to the idea that some Muslims at the time where amazed by the Quran.

The Quran is no more unique than any other spiritual / religious scriptures across time and space either in content or in literary quality.

The Bible, Dhammapada, Bhagavad Gita. The Quran is nothing special.

Nouman Ali Khan's rhetoric is of a piece with the attempt to elevate the Quran as something special - its just another aspect of Islamic supremacist attitude.

The Quran is man made. Written by men. Like every other scripture. End of story.

What is that quote from a medieval Muslim sceptic who says something like "You ask me if I can produce a book like the Quran?" and then he lists all the things that are laughable about this idea that the Quran is unique or special? I've seen a meme about it, its from an Arab philosopher from centuries ago.

Any ways monstart.. I wonder about this "Ibn" thingy in the middle of many Persian names.. If I remember right from a discussion in ffi with Ali Sina.. He used to call him as "Mohammad-e Zakariā-ye Rāzi".. This Muhammad thing is word with a meaning "Praise worthy" but question is why did this "ibn" thing is added to his name..

why do these people do the Quran miracle stuff? I watched another talk by him it was about the miracles of the Quran for english speakers and he said one miracle is where in the middle of the secound surah it says we have made you a middle nation and that is a miracle, he found the word middle in the middle of a surah and apprently that is a miracle that only arrogant people will deny.

If the Quran had a surah describing the Prophet breaking wind, they would describe that as a miracle.

I doubt that and question that deusvult.. Even a 11..12 year girl.., that Aisha could sense the nonsense in Quran.. I agree. The fact that some Arabs were amazed means nothing. People are amazed at literary works all the time. It says nothing about a text's superiority to another. He admits it in the video. Literature is subjective. Next he then claims an "objective" standard it's effectiveness or it's ability to affect change, but notice this adds a lot more to this supposed "objective" standard. Now a work's greatness depends on the Persian and Byzantine empires fighting, the corruption of the Meccan tribes ( if that's how the story goes), military prowness etc. It's a lot more things than just a miracle text. Who says a text's effects on the world is the measure of how good a text is anyways? Also by that standard Arostotle is a better author than the Quran is. He's affected the Greek, Roman, Islamic, and Christian ideas.

So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?

Early Islamic history has serious problem., we know more about Alexander the Great who lived a 1000 years before than this alleged Prophet of Islam. Even from Islamic sources, there were Poets in Arabian peninsula whos Arabic songs/sonnets were superior to this mambo jumbo.

So I have to agree to disagree with that "FACT some Arabs were amazed" deusvult.. Frankly speaking I have a problem to agree that there was guy "Muhammad" who reveled this so-called scripture Quran.. I am of the opinion out of those 23 years of alleged revelations., The Muhammad of first 13 years is different from the Muhammad of last 13 years.. As long as his first wife Khadija was alive there was hardly any Islam. and there were hardly handful guy following him.. It is like some singing songs on the street and jobless bums running around him listening to his sill limericks .. More over we must realize Quran was put together way after the death of alleged prophet during time of those Caliphs..

So I say no sensible Arab guy of that time was amazed with this Quran from alleged prophet of Islam..

My English writing, My Arabic writing and my Pakistani Urdu writing is good enough Sprout.. these guys.. these charlatans ...talk ..talk... That works only if no one questions them . Well This Pakistani guy teaches Arabic Language to Americans .. I am very sure many from CEMB such as Nessrriinn.. what are they talking about when they say the arabic in the Quran is a unique literary form that does not fit into the "divisions" of arabic?, i only speak english and spanish and so can not relate to what they are talking about at all?

It's "free form". It's uses a mix of poetry and prose forms. That's it. It's nothing miraculous.
