Entitlement was the word I think; an entitlement to certain 'respect' from other lowly unenlightened non-believers - ie to be treated like 'princes and princesses' being of such virtue and thus stemming, what in their mind is fully justified and probably unaware of, infantile behavior.

    "Curriculum for Cohesion"

I think asking kids to read Quran and hadith on their own will help them understand  early Islam.. These 16 /17 year old kids are very smart. Given freedom of thought and freedom of inquiry  to their young analytical minds, they will question what is there in Quran and that will be the end of Islam for them. ..

Do not let silence become your legacy.. Question everything
I renounced my faith to become a kafir,
the beloved betrayed me and turned in to  a Muslim

Ok then, I will only accept this guy's proposition if children are able to openly discuss and question Islam. Is that even possible?. That's the most effective way of teaching, not cramming information into children's heads and shutting them up when they ask honest question (which is what I would anticipate)... because I'm sure you guys had questions about Islam growing up and had a hard time getting a straight answer or a satisfying explanation. I went to Sunday school and I never got a straight answer on the Christian side -__-? Like how it was possible for Noah to fit all the animals in the world in that damn arc, or how come Adam and Eve are always depicted as white when we have a variety of races on earth, and they are supposedly the first humans who populated the whole earth? Etc. Etc. Smiley

If dictatorship rules were tried to be applied in schools there would be an uproar...so yes there would be questions and discussions....having said that, I really don't think such a 'curriculum for cohesion' will ever be implemented just based on the fact people don't want Islam pushed down their kids throats when they're not Muslim. It maybe an optional/extra-curricula class...and I think it will be school dependent.
