  • Acid attack reversed.
     OP - February 02, 2013, 11:15 AM

So yesterday was world hi jab day and i stumbled across this article in the paper on the same day.
The The irony that people are celebrating by even non Muslims wearing a hi jab on the same day that she is being released from hospital.

How the fuck are they going to find the person who did it as she was wearing a full niqab?
So Yay for celebrating a culture that conceals a attacker. and giving a means for others to do so.

    Poor woman.

Women are the only exploited group in history to have been idealized into powerlessness.

I presumed that niqab normalcy make people unsuspicious and hard to identifies here, sadly that includes full faced helmet, nonetheless I think niqab is impractical and intrusive, but hijab is another matter.

Ban the niqab if attacks like this are becoming a problem.

Screw their religion people's safety comes first.

You know what will happen here anyway, I can do the reactions for you right now.

    That is not Islam.

Just because a woman wears a niqab and throws acid in some innocent womans face,  doesn't mean all niqab wearing women are the same.

etc etc, I thought I could be bothered to pretend to be an apologist, but I'm not in the mood.

Realistically they speak the truth, it's not Islamic to acid a woman's face for not covering it up.  You need to beat her, that's all.

Or lock her away in a bedroom until she learns a lesson, no matter how long it takes.

But not actually acid her face.

Still though, something quite sad about world hijab day being on the day she gets out of hospital.  :(

    " World Hijaab Day"

Let's make a healthy sexuality day where everyone goes and has crazy monkey sex. Pharmacies shud give out free condoms and pamphlets about living a healthy sexual lifestyle.

I must admit my knee-jerk reaction to this was "ban people from wearing those fucking garbage bags!" but on deeper thought I'm still not sure about banning the niqab.

    ^

Not a complete all out ban more something along the lines of.

     -  Store owners should be allowed to refuse any person into their store who has their whole face covered. Whether it's a spiderman mask or a niqab no difference.

     -  Any government offices or any other institution should be allowed to ban masked people to enter their buildings.

^Those restrictions wouldn't prevent this sort of crime.

If the store owner refused to let the person in the store wearing a niqab u really think he/she wud have had the guts to throw acid with their face uncovered while being recorded on camera?

Unfortunately this woman was on her way home, so none of those restrictions would have protected her since they are about being inside, not outside.

Only a flat out street ban would do it, but you do that, and then you imprison thousands of muslim women in this country who won't be allowed out of the house without it.

Inhale the good shit, exhale the bullshit.
