Let's talk about kidney stones and failure due to dehydration and the body not being able to maintain homeostasis....

The funniest thing about Islam and cancer is that the Saudis actually researched whether camel urine is a cure for cancer. LOL.

FML, I hate sitting down with my family and eating, many of you love it but I can't stand it. Everyone's so religious, it sickens me that they can't stop and think for just one minute about what they're doing.

Do I have to do this for another 29 f**cking days!!!???

Oh and did anyone else get one of those long written Ramadan wishes that people send out? Blehh!!!!

I'm hungry. Had to do some things right before Iftar so I couldn't prepare my own food. I ate a little of what my mom made but since that's mostly carbs and fat, I didn't eat much. I'm going to cook some veggies and brown rice now. Tomorrow I'll be "fasting" since my period is over.

I've had my first half glass of wine today. Didn't really like it but I'm told you get used to it. My first wine will always be associated with anxiety and football. I was watching the game outside, while wearing my hijab.

Feeling kinda sad, knowing I will hurt my parents next year when I tell them I'm moving out and will stop wearing the hijab.

This post was pretty random but I needed to share it.

My anticipation is clouded by hurt.
I'm jealous you get to go to Canada and have 2 days off!

^confusedagno: yeah, it was really weird xD

I am pretending to fast today (as opposed to pretending to be on my period yesterday) and I feel guilty for drinking water. I feel more guilty for drinking water today than drinking wine yesterday. Wtf? I also miss the feel of Ramadan.
I'm off to work now, I have a banana, an apple and two granola bars in my bag. Not sure if I'll leave it at that or I'll go buy some food later.

Feeling guilty about having a drink of water, that's because your to 'Trustworthy' is all lol.

Just wondering, I'm managing to get a bit of fasting in(not quite sun up-sun down) but haven't been doing any prayers, does it still count? I'm expecting to pack it in by Wednesday but may have a go again on Sunday as I'll be spending time with the wife so might give her a bit of support again before falling off the wagon completely.

Well, they always said it doesn't count without prayer but who is counting anyway, right? I think it's sweet that you fast to support your wife.

Well my cousins are coming from Glasgow to escape their 19 hour fast for a week so we're taking them to Canada so we won't have to fast the whole time.... hehe

I'm doing a 19 hour fast and it hasn't been as bad as I thought, if I'm being honest. Mind you I spend most of the day sleeping and lounging about catching up on TV, so that might have something do with it Cheesy
