    Also it is not misogynistic and patriarchal to value chastity, because many women religious or not choose to value there chastity. And so do many men value there own chastity. We all make our own choices in life.

    It's not that he's wrong because he doesn't share the same view. The problem is he's degrading women for being women, and in particular for having a sexual orientation that isn't "gratify only thaman". He is shaming women for enjoying their sexuality, and for being sexual at all, while at the same time extolling male sexuality. As an outsider to this whole "sexuality" thing, I have a unique insight into it Wink

    On the whole I think we have a really great bunch of guys and girls here a they are a pretty tolerant and fair - minded lot.

    The fact that several of us took offence at his sexist attitude that degraded women is not what I would call a wolf pack.

    Personally I was just going to ignore him but then I saw what he said to Cornflower which must have hurt her.

    This should be a safe place for us to open up and get support. The last thing you want is soneone using the private things you share to attack you and demean you.

    Of course, I don't agree with his response. However, the parts I had read seemed like he was being pushed into a corner for having different views and therefore responded in a way that is in no way acceptable, but some people don't know how to act rationally when they feel pushed into a corner.

    Again I haven't read every single comment from him on this post so I am probably  making my judgement of what I had seen.

    I'm not sure what it is like on here now as I haven't been on regularly for a while now. However reading Cornflowers response to whoever started the post was a bit aggressive and a bit harsh for someone with a genuine concern. However, no one addressed that, seemingly because she is a regular and fellow regulars understand her point. Perhaps it wasn't towards the original poster and to the individual with the sexist comments, but I just personally felt it wasn't helpful to aggressively disregard someone's concerns because their view is different. Just how I read it. Not here to step on toes.
