    Well the bloke in question is a US YEC. Not surprising, really. The odd thing about him is that he will actually stick around and try to argue his case after definitively stating it. He still relies on evasion, dishonesty, misrepresentation, quote mining, personal attacks, etc, etc and ends up with his pants around his ankles but he has provided a lot of people with a lot of education and mirth.

    Of course the education comes not from him but from the refutations his assertions attract.  Wink  I learned heaps out of those threads. He's had some recently over at TalkRational. I haven't been involved in any of his threads for some time due to running this place but if you look for anything with his name on it in the Evo/Creo board you'll get some amusement..

    Some of the best stuff was back at Dawkins and Internet Infidels. You'd need to be registered to see the massive trainwreck that was the comments thread but the actual debates at Dawkins are on public display.

    I've been doing a bit of checking up on genetic bottlenecks. Not for the benefit of AgainstScience but just for future reference when dealing with any Islamic creationists.

    Funny thing is that the Toba bottleneck (70,000 years or so back) is surprise, surprise, no use for dating Teh Fludde. Betcha didn't expect that, huh? It turns out that there's a species of Galapagos tortoise that had a bottleneck circa 100,000 years ago that coincides with a conclusively dated volcanic eruption on the island. No evidence of one since and the really good bit is that the tortoises on neighbouring islands don't show the same bottleneck.

    IOW, just these tortoises alone would push Teh Fludde back well over 100,000 years. I'll find out more about them and some other species. I'm sure there's heaps of useful examples in the literature.

    It was obvious the one topic all atheists believe they all figured out was the only topic u wished discuss even though evidence is yet not conclusive.
    So since it was obvious u young uns wished to keep beating a horses shadow, and were afraid of being challenged to any other matters where physical evidence and conclusions are already available and abundant.
    As the wiser one, I had to withdraw respectfully. It's not about just creating friction and long threads for entertainment and scores or money or somn, it's about discussing discussable issues intellectually. I do have a day job.
