Turquoise,
Don't worry too much about the reception you got from Baal and Dio, for some reason they both hate Obama and if anyone says even as much as he's the best of a bad lot', suddenly you automatically think he is the messiah. Whether it's all just a charade or not, anyone that can genuinely say they would have preffered McCain shouldn't be allowed anywhere near politics, and it makes me double glad Obama won, just a shame that his predecessor has left him such a mess.
Welcome by the way
Thank you
And, pray, where did I say I prefer McCain? Methinks I said expressly, that I didn´t think much of either of them? That you can´t stand criticism of your hero is painfully obvious, deny it all you want. This is even more patent in Turquoise´s posts. And it was Turquoise going all hysterical over my criticism of Obama, not the other way round. Roll Eyes
I am not hysterical in the least, though I must admit I dislike your comments. Why? because I can see you don't have much knowledge of the subject, example: the abortion issue, saying that he never mentioned his mother and granmother, that is just a lie. I just cannot stand injustice.
. And it was Turquoise going all hysterical over my criticism of Obama, not the other way round.
Agreed, considering turquoise launched into a tirade and said this to Dio:
I will tell you this much: if the Messiah were to come to earth again by any chance, he will be killed again by people like you, because he wouldn't fulfill their expectations.
I'm rather suprised Dio didn't say more lol.
Dio could be a very well liked forumer, but that does not mean she is perfect. The false information she has been giving is what I found distasteful. I was born a catholic and I have found enough bigots in my life to think that she might be one of them. My apologies if I am wrong. I think everyone has the right to express their opinion. Obama is not my hero but he is a person who has given me some optimism for a change. I am tired of bullies coming from that country.
I don't know what he will do, he is definitely better than McCain with his 'we have to come victorious from Iraq' song, what a danger!!. I think Obama has genuine good intentions and I hope he has enough strength of character and judgement to do the right thing. I am hopeful but not blinded. Hope is good and being positive is good as well
Re: good Intention
Do you have any other expectations to come not-victorious from iraq? Is there any other song that you will accept?
Yes, I believe that war is unwinable, just like Vietnam was. The longer the Americans are there the more excuses the extremists will have to bomb their way around killing innocent victims. I think that the American troops withdrawal will take away their excuses of an outside enemy and perhaps they will come to realize the internal problems that they have.
I could write more but I am tired. Good night all
