    Poster of the Month is not for comic relief, that's Jester of the Month.  Presumably Os was planning to put Kope in that poll whenever it opens.  Or maybe he just forgot him, I dunno.

    Yes, but couldn't someone's comic relief be good enough to qualify for POTM on that basis alone? I think kope's is. Also, he is the only member here who regularly posts a pro-Islam perspective and therefore should be recognized for his role as foil on an ex-Muslim site like this. Furthermore, I think kope's brilliantly absurdist prose and creative hypothesizing are also worthy of recognition.

    Irritating is subjective. Some people here find Zaephon and Rashna irritating, but I don't remember anyone saying they shouldn't be in the POTM poll, nor did anyone object when they won.

    Kope isn't really a Muslim fundamentalist, and I doubt Muslim fundamentalists would take him as seriously as you do. What kope is...is brilliant.

    In any event, he's been nominated and seconded. He should be in the poll. If you don't like him and don't think he "meets the criteria", then vote against him. I don't see why people should be excluded from these polls just because they are disliked or because someone doesn't think they meet the highly subjective criteria (isn't that what voting is for, otherwise might as well have an admin declare POTM by fiat). If he's so bad he should be banned from the forum-- I don't see how you can attach any other qualifications to being in the poll other than having been nominated and being a non-restricted forum participant who has regularly posted over the past month-- otherwise the door is open to unfairness, favoritism and discrimination.
