It's actually a good thing, I think. Especially where I live -- it gets really, really awkward when two people kiss on TV and your family is there with you. Sometimes your parents might not let you watch some channels just because of that.

That rarely happens to me but i guess that has to do with lack of supervision from my parent on what we should watch and what we shouldnt at our earlier age. After being exposed to hollywood movies for so long, i find nothing appalling in watching kiss,nudity,language and sex scenes because its all part of the movie, you can miss an important dialogue there. Personally i cant watch a movie if those scenes are censored. I have to watch everything to understand the movie.
However, i understand it can be awkward for some family but that aint reasonable enough too censor parts of the movie for the sake of not offending prudes. There is a choice, lock the channel.
