Latin dancing is fun. Waltz sux donkey balls.

Only if you dance with a donkey and One of you happens to be a klutz. Both dances are just matter of time and place and mood.

"Ask the slave girl; she will tell you the truth.' So the Apostle called Burayra to ask her. Ali got up and gave her a violent beating first, saying, 'Tell the Apostle the truth.'"

Doubt is another really good film.

I couldn't enjoy Doubt, I read the play before hand, knew the story, so the movie was really slow to me. *sigh* No suspense. Good story though.

I must check out some more movies. Last one I saw was that silly Bond thing. Not bad, but nothing to write home about.

What you need is 'Withnail & I', I keep telling ya. The thing is a timeless hoot from start to finish. If you've seen it lately, I still think one of the funniest bits is where he tries to pass off 'child piss' as a drunk-driving urine sample. But usually my ribs are aching from too much laughing by then.

I didn't know there was a play but I enjoyed the film. There were plenty of suprises for me (eg. the mother's reaction). I really wanted to trust Father Flynn and I actually did for awhile. Plus, Meryl Streep was just fantastic and Amy Adam's eyes had their own role.

I was surprised by the mother's reaction when I read it. I think she could've just made it up, she needed her son to stay in that school no matter what so they could move up. Father Flynn still could've been innocent, Sister Aloysius wasn't even sure.

OMG, you're right. Don't you think it's crazy that we actually don't know. I think that makes the film that much better. We believe what we want to believe, kinda like Sister Aloysius. I think the last scene she was referring to her faith though. It could have been anything else but how she was holding the cross made it more apparent.

I'm going to see Revolutionary Road next.

I thought the whole film was an analogy. Sister Aloysius is Bush, Father Flynn is Saddam, pedophilia accusation is WMDs... Cheesy

I plan on seeing 'Defiance' next, but I hate their timing. Movie was scheaduled to come out last month, but is not released until after Israel is in Gaza. Great timing. finmad

Hmm, I think The Reader will be my choice for a holocaust related film.

Revolutionary Road was really something. It made an impact on me, I think I might have to see it again, although I never do that.

After reading this review, I'm not too keen to see it.

Saw 'Defiance', pretty good, could've been better. Daniel Craig is the man.

My man Ebert saw things differently . I think I'll give it a go anyways.
