    That probably sums me up. I went from:-

    Islam->Doubt but stll clinging on->Desperately wanting to be wrong and Islam to be right->Agnostic theist->Agnostic atheist->atheist/ignostic.

    Right now I'm thinking about Pearlism (Physical Evidence And Reasoned Logic) which has been mentioned by Thunderf00t, if anyone watches his youtube channel...

    Can somone explain to me why humanism is sometimes prefixed with the word secular?  Its just that humanism is secular, so why add this word.  Its like saying a monotheistic muslim?

    That's just like me  Cry  But my family knows of my scathing criticism of religion since I returned, my mom is tolerating it but often tries coercing me into doing Namaz again using the same old emotional blackmail.  Roll Eyes It rarely works anyway  Cheesy

    I had a fucking hell of a ride. How could I be so deluded? banghead

    I always hoped I was wrong about me being incorrect and hoped for islam to be correct, plus the fear of hell just dragged me into Islam again and again. I tried to block out all things relating to atheism/evolution etc. I just kept repeating to myself that islam is the truth, but deep down I was just fooling myself.

    Well I would practice for a month, stop for 2 weeks, practice another month, 1 month etc. The fear of hell dragged me back in. I also said to myself, what if all the kuffar are wrong and Islam is actually correct and if I don't practice I'm fucked in the hereafter mysmilie_977

    Moderate Islam (later with a strong interest in Sufi mysticism) > Progressive/Reformist Islam > Humanism along with Agnosticism/Atheism (still not sure which of the two I am exactly)

    I've also been dabbling in Unitarian Universalism over the past few months and am seriously considering becoming an official member of my local UU church.

    And before anyone assumes that Unitarian Universalism is a form of Christianity, I'd just like to make clear that it does not have a creed, nor does it endorse any form of theism.
