    But the point is that in Islam this is a contradiction to what has always been taught to Muslims: "Haj is one of the main pilars of Islam just like Salat and Zakat and Fasting of Ramadan".

    If the whole world became muslim, then they are still divided amonh Shia, Sunni, Wahabi and all the other interpretations of Islam.
    We keep hearing about how Jack Straw or the French government have mentioned the veil and our doing so puts us in the same boat as them. How so? I want a ban on the burka, neqab and child veiling.

    I am not talking about lions and everything obviously. The thread started as "what if world went Muslim" it was well intended for people , I guess, OP was not asking about lions to take the Islamic path.

    By the way, lions are carnivores, we are not. Are you able to go out hunt without help of anything using only your teeth and nails?
    Breeding animals aritificially in the cages of factory farms, is not a part of food chain anyway.

    Try live inside a factory farm where animals are slaughtered for food, for just a day. Maybe you will have other opinion or idea of a nice place.  There is a big cover up for meat industry. They just dont want you to know

    The OP wasn't asking about Veggie's either, you've kind of hijacked it, if you don't mind me saying, so I think it's a little hypocritical to say exclude 'Lions and everything'

    Well I'm a carnivore,speak for yourself,  and I've tried rgularly to eat lions before they eat me, I always lose.

    I think it's fair game to eat a bird that attacks you. Brighton beach, May 2nd, 1999, what a day that was. Smiley

    How do you know what it's like to spend the night in a battery farm, chicken enclosure? I don't think it would put anybody off anything besides spending the night with chickens.

    I don't eat factory farmed, I just hide behind hedges. So let me get this straight, the dictionary definition of a carnivore is another animal that hunts and then eats it's prey, and not an animal that eats meat, no matter how it gets to his plate?
