    If they've only just discovered you left Islam it doesn't sound like a person who is very close to you.  If that's the case, what right do they have to be ashamed of you?  The phrase "mind your own business" springs to mind.

    Hey Hassan, actually I did this just today to my younger brother, 14, while driving to the Mosque for prayer. Aspects covered included terrorism, free thinking/questioning, that 9/11 did happen and it isn't a conspiracy. I felt bad afterwords, what right do I have to force my views on him? I think in the future I'll just answer any doubts he has. I want him to think critically, without offending him. Hmm, takes a lot of tact I think.

    I don't want to be a missionary. But it will be for his benefit and mine if he doesn't get serious about Islam. Being his older brother, I do feel a responsibility for his wellbeing.
