    salamo aleykom everyone,

    I didn't get the time and chance to introduce me earlier, but now I can and if you have any questions please, do ask.

    well about me: I'm 24 years old, am from holland and I'm moroccan.
    The irony is that one year or maybe two years now I was reading alot about islam and to get to know it better, just for the sake of Islam and God and to do my part of the job...meaning defending islam on all fronts. but the more I read,the more questions were raised, and some of them I've answered myself and was satisfied by it. Till almost a year now where everything just got "worse". the doubts overwelmed me and couldn't get around them. One of other issues I was considering,was science...mainly evolution.
    so like I just said before, now I'm at the very edge of religion. it's also nice to meet so many of you who struggle/ ed with your issues and I hope to learn and develop more.

    Lol. Arabie and Farid were talking about holland which reminded me of Ruud Gullit. Do you remember his famous "sexy football" quote?

    I can't believe you are asking that - you are obviously not a football fan - it is Ruud Gullit the great dutch player who came to Chelsea and other teams... and coined the term "sexy football" - a real character - though crap manager.

    Nothing much really. He just said "we have to play sexy football" and it was a bit corny and cheesy, everyone took the piss out of him and he is probably remembered as much for that as he is for his playing football.

    I know who Ruud Gullit is. The question was for Cheetah. BTW I remember this particular scene from 1990. Gullit's mate Frank Rijkaard. This was the highlight for me.....

    LOL... yes, I remember that well. Gosh the the Germans and Dutch really seem to hate each other - at least on the football pitch - made for great viewing for us Brits though Cheesy

    thank you all for welcoming me, I must say that i do feel a lot comfortable being here, because I struggled with the same issues as you guys did. so it's nice to be here and I hope to have a good time while being with you.

    ps @Infidel:weten je ouders het wel van je? did you tell your parents about it?( I'm not sure wether it is allowed to talk in dutch,so I'll just keep it at english...

    Hiya Arabie. Welcome to the forum.

    Nobody minds if you throw a few comments around in different languages (someone can always translate them if you forget) but if you want to have an entire conversation in a language other than English it's best to use the private messages system. That way you'll be talking to someone who can understand you. Smiley
