Hitchens has a chapter called "A short digression on the pig war or why heaven hates ham?". There is an interesting part in it, which is his own theory. For those of you who have this book, the chapter makes an interesting read.
I read it, was a bit of a disappointment tbh. As far as I know (according to be boyfriend who's read some reports) humans actually taste like chicken, not pork

I think it was something about cannibalism and how the pigs squeals reminded the iron age tribes of the sqeals from human sacrifice.
There was nothing about squeals, just cannibalism. Hitchens also said pigs were for the well-off.
