  • How to wipe your ass
     OP - February 20, 2010, 01:27 PM

    Islam begs all these types of questions.  They'll purchase a $25,000 rocket-launcher, but struggle to afford a pair of shoes.  They'll scrape shit off their arse with their bare hands,  but consider bacon unclean. They'll cultivate heroine, yet have a moral objection to beer.

    Its all hypocrisy & BS.

    Its better to clean your ass with bare hand then wash your hands, then to wipe youe ass with paper and have shit hanging to it all day with your ass stinking, while you pretending to be very clean.

    rocket launcher and heroine, that's Taliban don't blame Islam for that, and don't generalize things

    How about wiping your ass first with a perfumed and disinfecting wet wipe and then using a bidet?

    Oh sorry, not Sunnah is it?

    How about somone throws you in a desert in 600 AD,  then I will see if you can arrange a paper for yourself to wipe  your ass.

    So clearly that means the rule is no longer applicable to modern times. Why do Muslims stick to 7th century practices?

    Right, back to the OT.

    It cracks me up how the Muslim dawahgandists will always point out how Christianity views women as the source of all sin due to Eve's sin in the Garden of Eden.  Then they crow on about how Islam does not view women as vessels of sin when the religion coupled with the prevaling cultures which have helped shape it does.

    For example, if a husband talks back to and/or beats his wife, he is acting within his Islamic duties but if a wife were to talk back to or try to beat her husband then she is sinning.   Tongue

    Seems that anything a woman does which is not 'Islamic' or 'feminine' is a sin.

    I think it's all about control. Mo was really insecure concerning his wives (care to guess why? whistling2). He probably had a lot of control issues. He seemed like a control freak with OCD thrown in for good measure. And he just enjoyed bossing people around. Thats why the quran talks about ruling over the kuffar, women, children, etc.

    If you wash your ass with hand/water and then clean your hand with water  later, I don't see problem with that.

    Given the choice between having shit hanging to your ass all the time or clean it up with hand/water I would say the 7th century practice is still better than 21st cetntury tissue practice. I would rather be clean.

    Have you asked the non-muslims why they don't use both tissue and water? they don't they only use tissue, so our practice is still better.

    Ewww, do people still wash their ass with their bare hands? I just use a little watering thingy to rinse my ass *then* I use the toilet paper. Best of both worlds.

    You do understand English do you?

    This is the 21st century practice:

    "How about wiping your ass first with a perfumed and disinfecting wet wipe and then using a bidet?"

    I suppose that you have heard of bidets have you?

    And please "don't generalize things" - your quote - by saying that non-Muslims don't use tissues + water.

    Side note: I am debating ass wiping techniques with somebody on the internet? Wtf?

    bidet is not that common. How many use that in west?
    When it become popular yes it will be a better idea. I don't see why people not adapting to it.

    But given what we have now, our practice is still better then just using tissue paper which you do in west and your pants and underwear smelling like shit.

    Yes 99% people in west don't use tissue/water combination its a fact.
    Have you picked on them for only using issue instead of complaining about muslim practice? which is still better

    Loads of modern homes have a bidet or two nowadays (depending on the number of bathrooms), especially in the continental Europe. Personally I find it indispensable.

    Yes 99% people in west don't use tissue/water combination its a fact.

    Have you done a research on bidet use in Europe or what?
    Or have you pulled this particular stat straight out of your ass?

    FYI bidet was invented by French in the 17th century, it's hardly a novelty.

    Yes I will leave FFI.  I should have left it long time back, just can not resist sometime  that nonsene those hatemongers talk about there all the time.

    @Kenan

    I have lived in North America for a long time I never saw bidet no where.  I have travelled to South America extensively, I don't see bidet  there either. Perhaps it is popular in Europe, few time I visited Europe I did not see it, neither in the hotels,  nor in the homes I visited nor at the airport. But I take your words for it that it is getting popular there.  I saw it in Dubai. I admit its a welcome addition.

    I don't see any reason why muslims not liking it when it become popular in that part of the world. . The western world I live in everybody use only and only tissues.

    @iffo
    Fair enough! Our experiences regarding the use of bidets obviously differ.

    The point I was trying to get across however was that most Muslims use water because it's Sunnah. It's has got nothing to do with the fact that using water produces better results - it's pure indoctrination.
    If you look into it you will find that the very act of writing on a paper has a special historical significance (sacred status) because of scarcity of paper/papyrus in the 7th century Arabia. It's purely an ideological problem - in Islam possibility and actuality are often fused - the verses of Quran may have been written on that particular (or any for that matter) piece of paper therefore the use of toilet paper is forbidden regardless of the fact that a particular piece of paper hasn't got verses of Quran printed on it.
    Ideology at its purest.

    Also please open an introduction thread in case you plan to stick around.

    @mateen
    Apologies for hijacking the thread!
