  • To speak or not to speak
     OP - March 02, 2010, 12:06 PM

27:83 - And (remind them of) the Day when We shall gather out of every nation a host of those WHO DENIED OUR REVELATIONS...
27:84 - Till, when they come (before their Lord), He will say: DID YE DENY MY REVELATIONS
27:85 - And the Word will be fulfilled concerning them because they have done wrong, and THEY WILL NOT SPEAK

So when asked about their disbelief the unbelievers will not speak, however later it says:

46:34 - And on the day when THOSE WHO DISBELIEVE are exposed to the Fire (they will be asked): Is not this real? THEY WILL SAY: Yea, by our Lord!

But here it says that they will say "Yeah by our Lord!"

I suspect the Muslims' answer will be "when he says the first thing they will not speak, but when he says the 2nd thing they will", but it looks to me that in essence these are the same question.  There are many contradictions I have found so far, I just wondered what people thought about this one? Maybe there are additional clues if you are able to read the Arabic?

    Cheers

    Good find!  Afro

Wish I had more to add but haven't read the Qu'ran in years plus my Arabic is at pre-school level at best.

I'm only as far as Sura 27 and have about 15 contradictions noted, numerous errors too.  My favourite ones are were the same conversation is contradicted more than once.  I intend to do a youtube video about that  Smiley

I found the answer in the Quran (did you know the answer to everything is in that book?).  It says later that the unbelievers will not be able to speak so they will use their hands to talk, and their feet will testify against them Smiley

I wonder what happens if you are born with no hands or feet?

I am going to start a youtube series entitled "Why the Quran is silly" and seeing as this is very silly and easy to do I suspect it is going to be the first in the series Smiley
