That shampoo brand is extremely common and popular in Kuwait, kind of like Pantene in the states. So it doesn't really need to show "proof" that it works. And who says a shampoo bottle must show a picture of hair? Most shampoo you get here has no pictures on it, just the brand logo.

Well, a picture of lovely locks makes much more sense, especially as the woman is shown.

Then they could've just used a brand logo, whats' the point of showing a woman if they're absolutely not showing her hair?

What next? An advertisement for a face pack for glowing skin, showing a woman in a niqab with covered face?

It's common for many types of products to show pictures of happy people instead of the product itself. They are showing a smiling, happy hijabi who loves her shampoo -- something I think would attract any young Muslima.

It's catered towards the Indonesian market which is predominately Muslim, so not showing hair on a shampoo bottle is understandable. Even in Western countries where hair is freely shown, not all shampoo bottles carry pictures of women with long lushious locks. It's probably better that way since a lot of the pictures of 'amazing hair' have been manipulated through editing software and/or usage of hair extensions to obtain a more 'volumised' look.

btw, hello Homer, some of the member here mention about you on my introduction thread,
yeah, that's shampoo's packaging only meant to grab some segment here in Indonesia (hijabis), it's like shampoo for woman and man, it's the same thing or formula, just different fragrance and packaging, only part of their marketing strategy.

Not to mention that the same product for women will ALWAYS cost more than the same product for men.

Sod shaving gel. I don't use conditioner, so whenever a shampoo is buy one get one free, I buy a spare conditioner and use that for shaving. Leaves my skin feeling softer than a babies bottom.

Could even be part of the reason I still get occasionally ID'd before being served ciggies lol.

Baby oil is the best for shaving in the shower.
But the razor lasts only a few times that way, then you throw it away cause it becomes a mess.

So I usually use nothing to shave, except running water ^_^

Back on the matter of shampoo, I was down the road and every bottle of shampoo I picked up didn't have a single picture of a person on it; they all had abstract patterns on them - the sunsilk shown in the original post in New Zealand has no picture, just a pattern.
