So did all of us if you believe in Adam and Eve and Noah. So what's so strange about that?

First off, if you recall, the Quran said there were a few people who believed in Noah, so NO incest to re-populate the earth... as for Adam and eve, that's a different topic, we can discuss later.

But Judah (one of the 12 sons of Jacob) fucked his own daughter in law.... well, she disguised herself as a whore and he fucked her without knowing who she was.. but it turned out for the best, the Biblical Jesus came from the bloodline of the offspring of this filthy whore! Hallejuah! Yahweh works in mysterious ways!

So, can you explain how from Jericho it is possible to see a city on the exact opposite side of the globe?  Considering the Earth is not flat, and that light can only travel in a straight line this is actually impossible - you do know that, don't you? So why accept a bogus explanation?

Because I the term the kingdoms of the world is a metaphor to describe what Jesus saw.

About being poked in the eye being better than having your nose cut off? Do you really think that consensual same gender sex is worse than gang raping women?

of course not, but they weren't asking for "consensual" sex! They wanted to rape his guests and he replied "you might as well rape my daughters, that would be easier for me!" It's just an expression emphasizing how horrified and very distressed Lut was when they said they wanted to rape his guests!

Marie, my love, I read these geneoglogies and NO mention of the names of the *immediate* grandparents of Jesus... btw, did you know that the Biblical Jesus came from a bloodline of INCEST?

    Matthew 1:16

    16
Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary. Of her was born Jesus who is called the Messiah.

    Luke 3:23

    23
12 When Jesus began his ministry he was about thirty years of age. He was the son, as was thought, of Joseph, the son of Heli,

Yes I know there appears to be a contradiction in these verses. It is believed the genealogy in Luke 3 is Mary's and the reason why Joseph is mentioned as son of Heli had something to do with Mary having no brother.

I guess next you will tell me there was no global flood in the Quran and thus incest was not necessary to repopulate the world. You know about bottle necks right?

@QueenIsabel - I'd also be interested in your reply to this question I asked on your intro thread:

OK, so you agree that you believe in Christianity despite the fact that some things contradict reason.

So when you try to 'educate' Muslims about how stupid their faith is - can you blame them for doing the very same thing you are doing - clinging to their faith despite the fact some things contradict reason?

oh don't be childish, Marie! What does the Muslim prayer have to do with your being slow? Never mind.

He didn't say it... the lying Biblical Jesus MUST have thought the earth was flat, otherwise he wouldn't have thought he needed a very high mountain to see the entire world!

By the way at least Jesus recognized it was Satan who took him up to the mountain, unlike Muhammed who mistook Satan as Allah and read the satanic verses given to him.

First of all, would you be so kind as to explain to me how could an outcast offer the Crown Prince his own kingdom? It's just one of many cross-eyed stories in the Bible...

Now, bring me the verses in the Quran where it says Muhammed thought Satan was God, you liar.

QueenIsabel - what is it you want to achieve by attacking Islam?

I mean what is your purpose? What is it you want Muslims to do? (Die? Leave Islam? Become Christians?)

    Honestly.

My desire is to free Muslims from the oppression that is Islam and bring freedom to these people.

Now I know it doesn't seem like my intentions are that way. Unfortunately I developed bad habits while on FFI and sometimes I feel guilty about it.

I just realized how much I dislike religion now and how nonsensical it all is. It's mind blowing that you can believe in any of this. Jesus Muhammad Christ.

Why do you buy into the mythology?

Why do you buy into the historical inaccuracies?

Why do buy into totally immoral actions and label them moral because they fit a certain context?

Absolute and utter bollocks. And by the way, this has nothing to do with God, you could be a Deist and that would still make some sense. Shit I even understand certain parts of religion, like worship or a community feeling but the stuff I mentioned above, how can you as an intelligent and educated adult buy into all of that. It's like being a Power Ranger and believing in it.

But from a completely objective point of view...I could offer you 10 billion pounds.  There is a big difference between offering and delivering.  I got the impression that in the story Satan was trying to tempt/trick Jesus. Therefore Jesus only needed to accept, Satan didn't need to deliver.

Dude, you didn't understand my sarcasm? Suppose you own the entire world, and then some idiot tells you: "hey, let me give you what you ALREADY own!" What the fuck? How can you seduce me to give me what I ALREADY own?!

And even if more Muslims are now interpreting more of the Qur'an metaphorically - why try to stop them and tell them they are wrong?

Do you want them to be literalists?

    No.

This has to do with the issue of can Islam be reformed.

Now I know it doesn't seem like my intentions are that way. Unfortunately I developed bad habits while on FFI and sometimes I feel guilty about it.

And you seriously think by saying things like:

"at least I am not sticking my ass up in the air fives times a day up at the great whorehouse ( Islamic heaven ) up in the sky."

Will endear Muslims to what you have to say?

or showing your ignorance of their faith (i.e. not knowing that many Muslims have used metaphorical interpretations since early times)

will convince Muslims you know what you are talking about?

I doubt your true intention is to Free Muslims.

If it was you would try to show love and not the hate and ignorance you display here.

I have no doubt it's more about venting and making you feel better and superior - I suspect deep down you are actually quite insecure about your faith.

One more thing - do you expect Muslims to accept reasoned arguments - when you cannot reject Christianity despite being unable to reconcile some things with reason?

    No.

This has to do with the issue of can Islam be reformed.

If chrisitanity managed it to some extent, then Islam can to some extent.  We still have backward attitudes to progress in Chrisitan countries, if not more so, than in Muslim countries.

Try not let your bigotry stop you from seeing the bigger picture.  Sounds to me you have spent most of your life surrounding yourself by people who think like you and are beginning to struggle to see anything outside of your own immediate reality.

I'm sorry Hassan but this argument will not work with me. But I do feel sorry for Muslims who hold onto their faith. It is not their fault they were born into Islam.

That's it Hassan... *become Christians*... and that's one of the things that irritate me about FFI... not all christian members there are evangelicals, but the ones who are, keep comparing the Bible to the Quran, as if saying: "see? our book is much better, why not convert?"... I enjoyed crapping all over their pathetic efforts..

anyway, now it's official policy of FFI to let Christians preach without allowing anyone to bash their religion.

    +1

QueenIsabel - I obviously don't know you - but what I have seen so far has not impressed me, but if you truly care about Muslims and want to 'enlighten' them - you are going about it the wrong way.

Why not show some of the love and sympathy that I know many good Christians have - albeit they tend to be the non fundie type.

Yes, if only Muslims could have behaved like Christians throughout history.

Cheesy yeah, let's just take one example on how Christians were much much better than Muslims.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

From the Zionism And Israel Information Center
    [/size]

"But unlike Christianity, Islam did not emerge out of Judaism. Its founder was not Jewish, and it did not claim to be the realization of the promises of the prophets. Therefore its encounter with Jewry was far less tense. Jews in the Islamic world seldom suffered the tortures, expulsions and burning at the stake that typified Jewish life under medieval Christian rule. However, their life under Islam was usually tainted with degradation and insecurity."
