Very true. But I don't see what that has to do with anything. I was hoping you were going to come up with one of your clever retorts as a tonic after BlackDog's above baleful effort at being funny.

What are you implying here? Why 'native' in bold? Who is the 'native' 'we' and what seperates me from that group of people?

I asked a question IN MY INITIAL POST AT THIS THREAD. The responses did not really constitute ANSWERS now did they?

I asked you a question, and you threw a question right back at me!  btw you didnt address that question to anyone in particular, it was a general question.  Whereas at least 3 people here have asked you a question, who have had the decency to answer anything you put to them.

So I ask again, do you think thats fair?  Or, as its becoming clear, its part of your duplicitous behaviour.  Same goes for your stance on immigration & religion.

It says what it says: "Native" means "idigenous population" in the sense that it is used in "Native American" ("Indians) , "Native Australian" (Aborigines) , "Native polynesian", "Native Indian", "Native African". That there is a native European population is a fact. Emphasising a fact does not equal racism. An atmosphere of welcoming inclusiveness is hardly cultivated at this site and I am often asked the question what are YOU doing here at this SITE FOR EX-MUSLIMS? Why are YOU asking this question of US? So I answer in the capacity of "otherness" imposed on me here that it is NOT just YOU  who have a valid interest in this issue and the people whose ancestors created the society that made it possible for YOU to leave Islam in relative safety are not to be glibly dismissed as racists or irrational xenophobes if they express unease at the growth of Islam in their midst and don't welcome the prospect of a mosque in their neighborhood or ongoing Muslim immigration. There is more at stake here than whether you can now stuff your face with bacon baps.

Ahh, I see what you mean now. My mistake. So do you think a brown skinned person (or maybe 'mixed race' might be a better way of putting it) will ever be considered 'native' British? Can you imagine that in the forseeable future, or do you think this situation with Islam needs to be resolved before we can ever consider that a possibility?

I never really thought about it like that. It doesn't seem that I have paid you due respect, since it is you and your ancestors who should be thanked for my safety and freedom here in Britain. I suppose I have taken your role in my life for granted. I should be thankful to you and your bloodline for the position I am in.

Erm, in that case you've been wasting your time for the last year at least. There can be such a thing as an 'Islamically valid NON-political Islam'. At least one Muslim on here is proof of that. I take it you will now kindly accept your mistake and take a hike. ^_^

You don't think that could be more aptly said of some others here who have reacted to my glib responses to their own lame attempts at sarcasm in a rather less than jocular manner?

The diligent reader who consults my last post will observe that I don't care for the way you've been gangraped. It is unmanly, ungodly, unlike the rugged frontiersmen of my native country about whom legend has it that the reason they wear flowing robes is 'cause sheep can hear a zipper from a mile away.

"Ruffians" is the word I think I might have used to describe these gaggle of hoodlums. Go back even further into this pandemonium of a thread, and the reader will observe that I've taken up cudgels on your behalf. I never speak ill of my enemies. 'Tis vulgar. I mount them like a bison and discharge myself manfully.

So provide an example of this "bellicose pose in foreign policy"

This I will not do. Every minute spent hunting for quotes at Spencer's blog is to suffer a perceptible loss in brain cells. As a Great Thinker noted elsewhere on this forum: "To venture there is to have one's brain surgically removed, to fall in with a lot of cachinnating, caterwauling, cat's-paw clawing conservative cranks. Scientology was actually one of the things that made me question being a Muslim. Because for all you know, Xenu might be Allah and the spirits that are in us might be .. spirits. And praying may as well just basically be paying to remove said evil spirits from one's body.
Scientology, and the giant spaghetti monster.

Where have I mentioned skin color or even implied it? If you have a parent from among the native population then you are of course a "native person"

I wouldn't regard New Zealand residents of European origin as being as "native" as the Maoris even though the latter have only been there a few centuries longer, would you? Products of interbreeding between the two groups would naturally qualify as "native" by virtue of their ancestry in the native community.  When we speak of "native Americans" we don't generally mean the population of European origin even though they have had a presence there for 400 years.

If you have an immigrant community who hold that the Earth belongs to their god and that they, by divine mandate, are the rightful owners of any land they settle in then the established inhabitants are not really morally obliged to welcome them with open arms are they?

It wasn't the ancestors of present day Pakistanis, Egyptians or Moroccons or their progeny who have settled in western countries. Those peoples, unlike the Europeans, succumbed to the Arab imperialists, joined their cult of Islam and in subsequent centuries right unto the present eagerly acted as agents for their Arab conquerors in making the lives of their still-non-Muslim compatriots hell. The modern womens suffrage and liberation movements weren't born in Pakistan. That you are able to leave Islam in relative safety and shamelessly shove pig meat down your throat is because you live among an overwhelmingly non-Muslim population. Ex-Muslims of immigrant origin SHOULD be thankful to the people who gave them the space to free themselves from this cult. They certainly shouldn't be mindlessly vilifying as "racist" or "Islamophobic" native people who do not welcome the building of imposing mosques in their neighborhoods, halal food being sneakily fed to their kids in school or the continued large-scale annual influx of people whose world view in inimical to the secular, tolerant society that has made it possible for you to stuff your gob with bacon rolls with reasonable assurance that someone won't sneak up behind you and cut your throat.

If a group of Arabs settled in the Polar regions and started living in igloos that would not make them "natives" of the region would it?

I am part of the native population who permitted your forebears to settle in their country and enjoy the freedoms you do. What would your life be like now but for that benevolence? You'd have rather more to worry about than a craving for bacon I'll warrant. Indeed, without the existence of a wider predominantly non-Muslim society around you you'd probably be braindead robot scuttling about in a burqa muttering homilies to Allah every time you walked through a toilet door or came within 100 feet of a dog.

What about the descendents of Vikings?

In the core Viking lands of Scandinavia and their colony in Iceland they are the native populations. In the British Isles, Russia, France and elsewhere they settled they have long since melted into the native populations and no longer exist as a distinct group.

Thats what I'm trying to find out. Thats what I'm asking you. Look here:

... it does you people no favors to be seen treating  the UTTERLY LEGITIMATE concerns of NATIVE western NON-MUSLIMS like myself with kneejerk abuse, vilification and sarcasm. WE, as targets of your murderous fanatical former brethren, have a legitimate interest in this matter.

You FIRMLY establish your position as NATIVE, while making an effort to separate me into some significant, yet undisclosed ‘other’ category, so far only known as ‘you people’. These ‘you people’ must be something else other than NATIVE, since you already put them and me apart from NATIVE.

The same criteria that rules Inhabitants of North America of European, African, Chinese, Arabian, Indian, Mongol origin as being classified as NATIVE Americans: they do not share common ancestry in the continent with the descendants of those human populations who were established there when the Euros first arrived.

What specific criteria defines a Native British? It doesn't seem like a hard question to me, and you seem to be the one able to enlighten me.

I am part of the native population who permitted your forebears to settle in their country and enjoy the freedoms you do. What would your life be like now but for that benevolence? You'd have rather more to worry about than a craving for bacon I'll warrant.

Yes, but what is that native population? What distinguishing features do you have that I do not have? I am curious what you are claiming credit for here. Don't be modest. Share the talent or attribute you have that I do not or tell us about the contribution you made that factors into it.

Indeed, without the existence of a wider predominantly non-Muslim society around you you'd probably be braindead robot scuttling about in a burqa muttering homilies to Allah every time you walked through a toilet door or came within 100 feet of a dog.
