I will be fasting - although I have considered not doing it I suppose I would still like the challenge - dunno, I am kind of torn.

I could do with lsoing soem weight, but I am not sure fasting really helps with that in the long run.

Try fasting in Singapore. Humidity, equatorial temperatures of 30 to 34 degrees celsius and around 13+ hours without food and water.

I'll just pretend to fast around my family, which is no problem seeing that I won't be at home on most days.

I wanted to visit my family in August but there's no way that is happening now because of Ramadan - I don't think I could stand the smug piety.

I won't risk 2012 chances by fasting, says Muslim rower Mo Sbihi

So as usual, he's gonna achieve his sporting success despite Islam, not because of Islam, just like the Muslim cricket players, boxers, football players etc.

Then when they retire and have nothing else to do with their lives they'll grow a beard and preach Islam on the back of their sporting success from yesteryear (that they achieved despite Islam).

Good news 1 - dad is on medication so therefore will not fast ... hopefully he wont bother making up for it either.

Good news 2 - I'm away for 3 months to another city starting tomorrow and so won't have to deal with all the hiding of eating.

Possibly good news 3 - I'm trying to convince my younger brother he could delay fasting for a month to not affect his A level exams the next two years. Or at least do half-a-day fasts. Surely Allah will be understanding?

    Question out of curiosity:

During Ramadan, are Muslims forbidden to give food to somebody who is not Muslim, during daytime?

Do not look directly at the operational end of the device.

Are you doing that out of Empathy? Or is it for charity?

I apparently agreed to keep all the fasts this year, according to my wife. Can't believe I did that?! I'm gonna die :(

PT: I usually do. But I promised to be sincere this year, so I'm having nothing to eat, drink or smoke this year. I will be having chewing gum though (I'm just not accepting that Allah ordered bad breath for everyone, for a whole month).

What Peppermint Tit said, if you keep on conceding to some of her demands, it may reach to a point that she will tell you that she wants to raise your children as muslims? If that happens, would you be able to live with that?.

Sorry if i sound intrusive bro.

Had my first conversation about fasting today. My parents were shocked that I wouldn't be doing it, even though I've already told them I'm no longer a Muslim.  015

Anyway arguing this with them is going to be fun.  nyanya

The Month of Hypocrisy is around the corner. Time to follow the footsteps of pre-Islamic pagans. Good Ol Iblis is doing time and the Ramadan-Muslims (and Muslimahs) are acting all pious.

    Ramadan Mubarak!  Cheesy
