    It's a form of indoctrination your not going to take me seriously, but I will try anyway. Basically, the children are told about father Christmas who comes down the chimney and leaves them gifts, if; 1.) they've been good, 2.) they believe in him and have blind with. Kids wake up in the morning and find presents and get happy, and this psychologically reinforces in their mind that blind with his good. Its subliminal brain washing. Same thing goes for birthdays. It gives the impression religion is good, religion brings good family times. That is utter bull. It is an Anti-Secular idea we don't need it. We should have a Darwins day or something, Darwin was real, and he had a better beard then Santa.

    Yes, when I said I am not the only person saying this, I was actually trying to point out that its a legitimate objection, and there is a debate around it. Some Atheists/Agnostics are for the it and some are against it, its a raging debate in the more intellectual echelons of the Atheist/Agnostic community.
